ditto - he's brought in a bad apple Todibo , a midfield that are too slow and an aged attacker with an awful injury record. We're talking 90-100m down the pan. In that respect , I can't blame Lopetegui because he's trying all sorts of permutations to find something he can make work. I think , in the end , he might have to give up on a more expansive style until we get the right players in.
Why do our wide defender's not tackle and just stand off to allow the ball to be crossed. Were to slow no movement. I've just watch Nottingham Forest......what a difference, always on the front foot, two or three players always after getting the ball back.
Midfield is basically our nemesis. Emerson was replaced by Coufal because he was very poor indeed and not tracking back. Mav was on a yellow so Lopetegui probably needed to sub him off. We do not need more suspensions with the number of games coming up and now we lose Paqueta for the next game, so right to get Scarles on and improve his match sharpness.
Yep they’re fair points regarding the subs More than happy for scarles to have come on. But players were shuffled around like a pack of cards and no one seemed to know which position they were playing in which put us on the back foot
Originally I thought JLo was a victim of change, but I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that he is not as good as his reputation. Unless we get crosses into the box, we will not get the best out of Fullkrug.
Whilst I agree that Füllkrug needs service and time to adapt after coming back from injury I didn’t see much to suggest he would be our striker solution
Thanks a lot, Stel. We faded a bit after Brighton made their subs. We sat back and looked a bit negative. I can understand the tactic of hitting them on the break with the pace of Bowen, Kudos and Summerville, but our passing out of defence; in transition, was poor. Maybe we missed Carlos Soler and Paqueta to make that killer pass, later in the match. One thing positive was bringing on the youngster, Olly Scarles. It was bold decision, though I agree we looked a bit disjointed at the end. Anyway Merry Ironmass and as ever we go again!
We were terrible. Brighton were cutting us to pieces in 3-4 passes from defence thru midfield. The manager is clueless and his tactics are baffling. The players looked well below the standard required in this league.
We’ve had better games that’s for sure and the late subs seemed to create chaos which made us look even worse Most teams use the simple pass and move method to get the ball forward We seem incapable of doing that at times
Paqueta just another poor performance is correct and Soucek looked out of his depth which made it easy for the opposition to glide through our midfield
Brighton quicker to the second ball, most of the game. That is being on the front foot, also Brighton fouled our players try to break, a MCFC ploy that got found out. The ref should have booked the second one but he was weak and that cost us. Brighton a good outfit aggressive and mobile with a good shape and balance. How I would like us to be, but with more of a cutting edge.
Love Soucek but I said at the start of the season how are we going to play possession based football with him in midfield it's crazy. Don't get me wrong he is a great player in a over defensive setup like Moyes played but the whole point of lopetegui was to play with more possession and exciting football. It was never going to happen. Love soucek as i said but he doesn't fit in the way we want to play. Anyone can see that. At the start if the season i said how is it going ti work
Hi stel,I can’t help but think we look like a newly promoted side desperately hoping we get to safety before the season ends. That view was exemplified by the substitutions when we ended up with so many defenders on the pitch and we clung on for dear life. This is not what we wanted after Moyes yet here we are playing grim football in the hope we get a point, how long can the board stand by as we throw yet another season away?
Good point that Dean It’s strange that we played that way and even though Brighton has the upper hand I thought if we’d attack them they would concede again Whilst we’re free from the relegation zone the board are unlikely to make a change before the end of the season

How many points have we got with pure luck this season? Soler is the only mid fielder that can pass the ball, the rest have a couple of good passes then give the ball away so many times. Summerville HAD to pass the ball to Kudus un marked to his right. In the end we are a poor team that have a good 45 mins and we will pick up enough points to survive.
Mav was replaced because he got a yellow for nothing, and he may have got sent off. I don't know why Paqueta was confused. He was a liability again. Unfortunately for Summerville he only came on when we were on the back foot. The whole midfield were dreadful and spent most of the game marking space. It's a real problem when all you can do is being on another snail in Rodriguez. I blame Steidten for filling out midfield with rubbish. That's why defenders like Todibo and Mavropanos keep having to step out to challenge opposition, because our midfield aren't doing their jobs! That leaves gaps in behind.
I agree steidtens transfer window leaves a lot to be desired Still a lot of work to do on this squad but wondering if Steidten is the right man to be doing it

Time and time again JL starts Kudus in his least effective position. It's no wonder he wants away. Introduce Summerville in his rightful position and hey presto things start to happen! Nice to see Scarles, but 4 defensive substitutions at home, at 1-1 with plenty of time remaining is beyond baffling!

Not hard to predict our team ... we have very little options ... just copy and paste week in week out (unless injuries and suspensions) ... we are a shit team ... and it just proves today ... we can't rely on our youth ... poor Scarles got done very very easily ...
I am happy for scarles to have gotten more game time, but he was somewhat exposed which is probably why he was moved to midfield But we bemoan previous managers not playing the youth so fair play to Lopetegui for having faith in him otherwise how will these young players get the experience

Summerville needs a run of games or we will continue to get no end product out of him, Summerville left, Bowen right, Kudus in the 10 with a new striker upfront in Jan that has legs or at least holds the ball up. Bottom line is the manager is useless and needs to go
@@WESTHAMVOICE For sure he is going nowhere, I said the same thing when he was under pressure and had the media on his back, Sullivan will not admit a mistake and he is here until the end of the season as we will never be bottom three with how poor the teams below us are
Lets be honest here, we were awful. This is not what I was brought up on in 70s 80s 90s 00s. He is a weird manager to say the least. Blokes behind me were saying that Moyes football was more steady, I couldn’t help but agree.😮
Slowest Midfield in the League and the Least creative.Fulkrug to slow for the Prem and we don't play to his style.A coach who hasn't got a clue what his doing and a Chairman who has Rich little man syndrome.put them all together and you have Oil and Water.
Stelios, Another fair and honest review of the game. For me, a red card should have been shown to Estupiñán for the follow through tackle on Kilman which may have given us an edge in the final stages of the match. However, we probably didn't deserve more than one point.
We really haven't had the opportunity to form an opinion on Fullkrug in a WH shirt unless we had watched him play in Germany, but what I've seen today suggests he really isn't PL standard or why he was so highly thought of back in his home league. I was quite excited to see such an attack minded front line, but like yourself Stel, I was once again amazed at these substitutions, no disrespect to Scarles, but this was not the game for him, and Brighton exposed his inexperience quickly. Why he was caught out so far up the pitch, similar to recent AWB's problems, surprised me after the Bournemouth game. This must be in Lopetegui's instructions to them, similarly to when both Mavropanos, and nearly Killman, were caught out today. Regrettably the foul against Killman looked more dangerous than the officials thought it was. We've all highlighted Paqueta's poor decision making in our defensive third, centre backs and 'wing backs', getting caught so high up the pitch is the same issue, they cause far to many problems. As kids we all wanted to run around the pitch chasing the ball, making a dribble, attempt at scoring a goal, but forgetting our position within the team, this tactical strategy costs games and we nearly lost today because of it. Overall I'm pleased with this result, we must do better against Southampton though, because the following run of PL games will be more difficult to expect points.
Fullkrug doesn’t convince me mate and he has a few games before the transfer window opens to prove us all wrong Our defence was almost back to some of its worst but not quite Our midfield certainly needs working on as well Will be interesting to see what positions we target in the january window
Hey Stel Just Like The Bournemouth Match First Half No Punch Fullkrug Was Useless And Definitely Not Fit Enough As We Are Generally A Slow Team We Need To Play Summerville Paqueta Was Poor And Got Booked Early In The Game Not Sure How Many That Makes . Gave Away A Silly Goal Fabs Only Mistake So I Think He Keeps His Place Todibo Looks Fit So He Should Be Able To Play Boxing Day I Would Like To See Soler Instead Of Paqueta I Think We Slightly Play Better Football With Him In The Middle Im Glad Kudus Scored To Level The Game But After That We Were Lucky To Hold On To It If We Don't Beat Southampton Questions Will Be Asked About Loppy Again (GOT THIS FEELING IN THE PIT OF MY STOMACH THAT SULLIVAN WILL BRING BACK MOYES AS THE RETURNING HERO That's Why Loopy Is Still Here) How Out Of 9 Points We Got 3 That's Terrible
Hello mate our central midfield lacks punch and that’s where it seems to be going wrong Paqueta is suspended for the next game and Soler will be back I agree Fullkrug doesn’t do it for me and we’re better off continuing with Summerville, Bowen and Kudus as our front three and that’s what I expect to see starting against Southampton
I've been to bored to watch lately. But now I'm 100% out. That was dire and cowardly, worse than Moyes. He instructed Scarles to not go over the half way line, terrible thing to do to a young player. In the first 6 minutes we gave the ball back to Fabianksi 6 times,he duely on every occasion hoofed it long in no one's direction,Fulkrug was tottaly inept and lazy. How many touches did he have.
Loppy aint the man forward. That five minutes that led to the equalizer should be first 11 Loppy must always play. What in God'sname was he thinking with that 5 defenders? The midfield is piss poor. The reason why Kudus and Bowen almost look islolatedd is because they dont get the passes that will allow them to move faster. Alvarez( who i like a lot) has been very bad with his passing. Soucek apart from giving that pass which led to the goal was totally out of the game. Paquetta has become very bad. I mean big time bad even the TNT commentator was saying that its unbelievable on how many occaisions paquetta loses or lst the ball in critical areas. The TNT commentator said West Ham should be doing much better with the quality of players they have at their disposal and thats where Loppy commes in. Stel u now see why kudus is useful and better on the right side? That is his best position and as long as Antonio is out and Füllkrug aint delivering then Bowen must be the man on top and kudus on the right and summerville on the left. This is nit rocket science its just a simple mathematic. You writting last time in a different post that Kudus must play where he is told to is not right. Because its obvious it doesnt work for him. Its like putting a petrol in an electric car.it wont function. Im still not convince about Loppy and i know you also aint thats why he gotta go
I’ve always maintained that kudus is more effective on the right but as I also said players must make the best of the positions they are told to play Bowen is a prime example where he’s asked to play on the right and upfront and he puts effort in both positions As for the other players you mentioned, I agree, the likes of Paqueta have been poor for a long time but that’s not on Lopetegui as Paqueta has been poor way before Lopetegui took over This is why I don’t have a problem with Lopetegui dropping players from the line up
Brighton game wasn’t great but if there’s a consolation we’re not being opened up in the same way as we were earlier in the season But the subs and formation changes are confusing.

I blame steidten for bringing in the wrong striker and I agree that the money we paid for him shouldn’t be just for an impact sub
Summerville needs a run of games or we will continue to get no end product out of him, Summerville left, Bowen right, Kudus in the 10 with a new striker upfront in Jan that has legs or at least holds the ball up. Bottom line is the manager is useless and needs to go
I agree that Summerville needs to start more
I doubt West Ham will be replacing Lopetegui any time soon
@@WESTHAMVOICE For sure he is going nowhere, I said the same thing when he was under pressure and had the media on his back, Sullivan will not admit a mistake and he is here until the end of the season as we will never be bottom three with how poor the teams below us are
Lets be honest here, we were awful. This is not what I was brought up on in 70s 80s 90s 00s. He is a weird manager to say the least. Blokes behind me were saying that Moyes football was more steady, I couldn’t help but agree.😮
Ironically we knew what we were getting under Moyes even if it wasn’t the most entertaining
Slowest Midfield in the League and the Least creative.Fulkrug to slow for the Prem and we don't play to his style.A coach who hasn't got a clue what his doing and a Chairman who has Rich little man syndrome.put them all together and you have Oil and Water.
Fullkrug I agree but I’m happy to give him time
Our midfield is certainly lacking pace and aggression
Stelios, Another fair and honest review of the game. For me, a red card should have been shown to Estupiñán for the follow through tackle on Kilman which may have given us an edge in the final stages of the match. However, we probably didn't deserve more than one point.
Yeah I saw that challenge in the highlights and it didn’t look good
But as you say we probably deserved no more than a point
Fulgrug looked unfit but far worse than that he looked uninterested.
And that is a concern
Fullkrug doesn’t convince me mate and he has a few games before the transfer window opens to prove us all wrong
Our defence was almost back to some of its worst but not quite
Our midfield certainly needs working on as well
Will be interesting to see what positions we target in the january window
@ but does that mean with the January in’s & out’s, Lopetegui is going to be given another rebuild period?
@ probably
I don't get you Stel, you seem to be happy with a point. That was disgraceful.Zero entertainment from our manager. It relegation performance
It wasn’t relegation performance but it wasn’t good
I wasn’t happy with a point and I even said that in the video
Hello mate our central midfield lacks punch and that’s where it seems to be going wrong
Paqueta is suspended for the next game and Soler will be back
I agree Fullkrug doesn’t do it for me and we’re better off continuing with Summerville, Bowen and Kudus as our front three and that’s what I expect to see starting against Southampton
It wasn’t a great watch but not the worst we’ve played
The late subs were confusing for me
Loppy aint the man forward.
Im still not convince about Loppy and i know you also aint thats why he gotta go
I’ve always maintained that kudus is more effective on the right but as I also said players must make the best of the positions they are told to play
Bowen is a prime example where he’s asked to play on the right and upfront and he puts effort in both positions
As for the other players you mentioned, I agree, the likes of Paqueta have been poor for a long time but that’s not on Lopetegui as Paqueta has been poor way before Lopetegui took over
This is why I don’t have a problem with Lopetegui dropping players from the line up
I feel like I’m paying to see the same rubbish film every week deluding myself that it will be better next time I go.
Brighton game wasn’t great but if there’s a consolation we’re not being opened up in the same way as we were earlier in the season
But the subs and formation changes are confusing.
paqueta yellow card.so he is out of the next game.
Good he was beyond useless today. Far to slow on the ball and kept trying to be a fancy Dan and kept losing the ball 🤷🏻
Might be a blessing in disguise
Dead 💀
Didn’t understand Ray
