This is, in my view, the best version of the song.
My favorite Chinese song. I first heard the beauty of this sung by Karen Mok (The Next s2 e4) but I love Zhou tender falsetto. He did this solo (and in costume) on Singer 2020...fabulous. I love his opera also. He was young here. When they read a certain age/ability level they begin paying their paces by appearing on these competitions.
Oh wow I see. A few people have told me that Zhou Shen had sang and performed this song countless times, one of his masterpieces.
The first vision was released in 2016 as an OST of the animation movie Big Fish & Begonia. In the 2nd vision, Zhou Shen was helping the girl in a singing competition. I think he sang this song more than 100 times as it’s his Masterpiece. He also said this song is very important and special for him. If you like, you may check the Big Fish performances in Singer 2020 and his concert. Actually I love all his performances.

YellowBerrio Yes, he’s the original singer of Big Fish. This song is included in his first debut album 《深的深》(Shen’s Shen). His first name 深(Shen) means deep or profound in Chinese. So they decided to use his name as the first debut album’s name after discussion. Actually he released maybe around 100 songs (I’m not sure the exact number). In my opinion, he never made his fans disappointed in any of his performance. He’s really working hard. If you preferred English songs, you may have a check on “Monsters” which he performed in Singer 2020 EP05 and “Sanctuary” which is his first original English song. You may check on Wikipedia if you are interested in a full list of his discography. He is like an angel when he’s singing. But actually he’s quite cute, clever, and really funny.😂 And he can speak 6 languages and can sing in about 10 languages. There is a 9 languages “Let it go” on UA-cam which is sang by Zhou Shen. Sorry for my poor English. I hope it helps. 🤣

The 1st clip is from the official MV, no surprise you feel it is perfect. 周深（ Zhou Shen）made hisTV debut in 2014, however only this OST of Big Fish for the animated film《大鱼海棠, Big Fish & Begonia》 made his name famous to the general public. There were other two famous singers gave OST in this animated feature film, a famous Hong-Kong singer(陳奕迅 Eason Chan Yick-shun) performed the Theme Song:Encounter Human World, a famous Taiwan singer（徐佳萤 Lala Hsu）performed the ending song :湫兮如風. However, people only talk about the promotional song:Big Fish by Zhou Shen.
By the way, Eason Chan as one of the 4 judges appears in this reaction video(7:18). He actually said in the stage after watching the live performance : "very pleased to see Zhou Shen in person. I knew the name of Zhou Shen as we co-operated in the film and ZhouShen presented the OST of the Big Fish so splendidly , but I never thought the singer/ZhouShen of this song was a male singer". This is a good explanation why I write in above as "made his name famous". The duet Zhou Shen cooperated with the 17-year-girl Guo Qin in 2017 made him truly popular as a good male singer. For these who are wondering why Miss Guo was sitting on a chair, she was a normal(yes, pretty as well) girl but was injured during the rehearsal of the duet.
YellowBerrio, I would recommend you another stage performance by Zhou Shen on 25th July. It is a cover version of a Japanese song: Unravel. It is an astonishing performance for Zhou Shen as well. However, you need keep talking loudly in reaction to beat the song track's copyright detection, and you may need use irregular shaped(I reckon sin/cos shape stripes) masks covering part of the clip to beat the visual copyright claim. Oh wow! That's so crazy that one of the judges collaborated with Zhou Shen for the same film but never got to meet him in person nor find out that he was actually a man. It must have blown his mind then if this was his first time seeing Zhou Shen perform! Oh yeah I was kinda curious as to how come the girl was sitting down but a few people told me in the comments that it was because she sprained her ankle right before the show. Lol I actually thought maybe she was kinda tall and they wanted Zhou Shen and her to have equal heights on the stage so they told her to sit 😆

Lol, sin/cos shape stripes? I haven't heard those terms since the last time I sat in a math class which was sooo long time ago. But yeah, that's actually a good idea. But I'm satisfied as long as they don't block my video. Even if they claim copyright and the video can't be monetized or whatever, I'm happy as long as my audience can still watch the video itself.
The clip for Zhou Shen's Unravel stage performance has very strict copyright restrictions. It can be easily blocked for just showing few seconds of the original contents as many music lovers have complained/grumbled before. It has at least 4 claims:the Bilibili who produced the virtual-stage-live-show, the Zhou Shen' Studio who paid royalty for the editing and performing of the song "Unravel", the original song writer/composer, and the original singer of this song. No surprise if you encounter the strictest copyright claims while upoloading the reaction video. Although your audience might complain the acoustic/visual quality, you have to play some tricks to avoid the blocking.

The animation is about a girl, Chun, whom lives in a mythical realm, but enters the Human World as a red dolphin.
There she encounters a boy, whom saves her from a tangled fish net, but the boy dies while saving her. Chun returns to her world.
In her realm, she bargains with the Soul Keeper to restore the boy's life. The Keeper takes half of Chun's lifespan to give her the boy's
soul, which manifests as a baby dolphin. The Keeper also advises Chun she must nurture the baby dolphin to adulthood, in order to
return the boy's soul to the Human World. Chun is helped in this quest, by her childhood friend, Qiu, + they name the baby dolphin Kun.
Chun, Qiu + Kun encounter many challenges + obstacles; they each sacrifice their own life, for their friend's life.
At the end, because of Qiu's sacrifice, Chun + Kun, as people, return to the Human World.
Qiu is resurrected by the Soul Keeper, whom make Qiu, her successor, for his altruism.

I didnt watch the movie, but judging from the lyrics and the mv, it i about a parent's love for their child, specifically the conflicting feeling of watching one's child grow up (you want them to go out there and make something of themselves but yet you are also sad that they are going to leave you)

LOL that's actually what I thought at first too! That the girl was asked by the producers to sit so that both Zhou Shen and her can be about level height on stage. That if she were to stand, she'd be quite taller than Zhou Shen and maybe they didn't want that height difference. But viewers have commented letting me know that she's sitting because she injured her ankle/leg shortly before the performance.
