@@Komadin haha, you should check out his music and albums, fucking great stuff. This tracks drums were used in his song "raise you weapon" from his 2010 album :D
@Chrispoirier thats because its made for clubs. DJs want music like that so that our mixes flow well. and so that the dancers keep dancing to one long song. thats how disco was as well. it all sounded alike because it was made to be mixed into another song.
I'm a dubstep fan but to be honest I wish more dubstep was like this. This is how dubstep tunes should be: deep, dark, heavy, poweful, dirty but tight and co-ordinated at the same time. I think Deadmau5 does a good dubstep tune and I hope he does more :D
oooooh baked goods, dude this is slick and creative bold polished and fluid, i believe the appropriate term is... bitingly mesmerizing, .. a sound. visionary (paradox)...yea
@RudeboyJAMn It is, about 43 seconds longer in fact. Which doesn't sound like much, but when talking about 5 minutes it's almost 1 whole minute so yes it is a lot longer than 5 minutes only.
i dont know what you guys are hating on for.... i actually think he has a good flow within the song. but the samples really kill the song though, theyre just so awkward.. if you guys actually produced dubstep, you'd hear that he put a lot of effort into this song. yea it sounds like a beginner made this, but remember hes also a house producer so he has mostly house knowledge......... What a day... I actually defended deadmau5 -__________-
i like most dubstep but theres quite a few that dubsteppers think are great but i just dont like the sound. love this by the way. been listening to electronic music since daft punk first started. love the mau5 as much as the punk. 2 of our times best producers no doubt. 0._.0
Saw him in Edmonton. What a SHOW! This is put together from 4 songs from his soundcloud site i think (not sure). You can tell he is experimenting with new sounds and that is how sick new musics are made, but i dont think he will go the full dubstep route. He will probably take bits and pieces from these little experiments to make new stuff to keep fulfilling our inner ear's pleasure needs :)
@TheAverageTurtle Tell that to 'One Trick Pony', and the Dubstep drop in 'Raise Your Weapon', they are banging in my opinion. And when i mix them at parties they go off. So i don't know what your on mate. But ill have to admit that this song is rather average.
@RantRabbit Diplo is an example of a popular producer who is truly innovative, genre-defying and boundary-pushing. deadmau5 may make catchy tunes, but he certainly plays it safe, exiting he's electro-house comfort zone to get his feet wet producing pretty derivative material in already popularized genres. deadmau5 can read the rulebook and make stuff that sounds great while Diplo doesn't need the rulebook, that's the difference between talent and genius.
Deadmau5 is an Genre Open Artist - and thats what i like 'bout him. Theres nothing to Hate about the Fact he does Dubstep now too :) In the End its all about the Money keep that in Mind ;)
It's an epic dubstep tune and one of the few i like. Very happy it came from this guy:D:D WHERE CAN I GET THIS IN GOOD QUALITY PLEASE SEND ME A LINKK:D:D thank's already;)
Btw people you do realise this isnt actually a proper song, deadmau5 just made little mess around dubstepy tunes and put it on his soundlcloud. The closet thing to this being an actuall song is the BeauDamion edit i think its pretty decent
@luckeycat34 oh well, I'm not sure how it is in the US but in aus it's only just becoming popular mainly amongst teenagers. It hasn't taken over from house and trance yet.
@EmperorV1 yes I have heard almost all of those tracks, unfortunately. Truth is, I am a deadmau5 fanboy and I'm far too into house to care at all about dubstep. I think you all need to keep in mind he pulled this track together in a night and it was still incomplete, you can hear what he has done with it in 'raise your weapon'. It is much better and less annoying than any Rusko track I've heard.
how the FU#& are people hating on this sonng?!!??!!? honestly, its his first dubstep song and its prettttttttayyy fu#&inggg sickk. let the haters hate but they dont realise how sweet this stuff isss. dub5tepthingie ftW!
@HypadankDUB yes I agree he should produce more electro as it's what he's better at doing but nothing's stopping him from exploring new genres even if it is a generic sounding genre like dubstep.
@shyuuump I believe you are right, I've attempted many genres of EDM and I found dubstep to be far more simple than house, trance, IDM and all that. Believe me I like dubstep but I don't think it will ever compare to house or trance, it's great music to listen to while you're drunk or at a party but it doesn't stay with you like other EDM. I get bored of it very quickly because after it is just all the same shit.
Any other DJ we'd call shenanigans, comment after comment of "GTFO you fake", and 1,000 dislikes.... But deadmau5... we can all understand he's just trolling us.
@RantRabbit I just commented like this exact same message on another deadmau5 dubstep vid. Ppl say its boring and compare it to rusko. I think its really interesting how he can cross genres and still manage to keep that unique mau5 sound to it.
@luckeycat34 Yeah! Austin also has a really huge scene for it. They say Austin has the biggest dubstep scene in all the of the US. Dubstep is definitely taking over, here in El Paso we had our first Dubstep DJ show up (12th Planet) and he fuckin wrecked it! People loved him, I definitely see Dubstep getting real big. And I mean come on, Electro house DJ's are making. AC Slater just recently made a new CD that's got DUBSTEP written all over it.
@SlingerMarshall to dance to a track it is rhythm that is required, worrying about an unstable family is not a choice and burdens many, lol i'd like to see how you would dance to his music, bored now so i finish this conversation by saying it is very hard to say to some one why you think certain music is bad so valid reasons are hard to come by unless such music blows your head off..if you said you hated deadmau5 chuck norris, techno viking, bruce lee,and santa clause would:D "meaning not required"
want us to use the same patch's, our signature sounds, and tweek them just a bit, over and over again?? It might make a couple people happy, but a true artiest does what ever is on his mind, he does not hide his true potential because they are afraid of what others might think. And if they did, we would not have a creative world at all, think about any big artiest in any field today, they tried something different, didnt they. Go deadmau5! I work at sonic eye studio like minutes away from u :P
@MethodMau5 Maybe you're right even though it sounds like dubstep to me. But I definitely get the impression he respects dubstep rather than wants to make fun of it. Then again I like dubstep as well as deadmau5 so my argument is invalid.
@SlingerMarshall interestingly this seems like no accident as the ending includes a voice comforting the listener possibly the artist had this track in mind to appeal to people who argue a lot or live with unstable family. The yell from the child/adolescence would confirm this in the fact that they often feel wronged and misunderstood, perhaps echoing in the minds and intriguing the people mentioned previous. Now what a deceptive intellect sets out to encapsulate the fragile + it sounds rubbish
@crazychainsawkid1 idk about that. theres a reason that rusko is a dub artist and mau5 isnt...i love the mau5 dont get me wrong but his dubstep is lacking..its his first shot at it though so im interested what he can do...if u wanna here real sick dub, listen to skrillex-scary monsters and nice sprites
@ChiefFing no dother dub5steps but both industrial strength sleeping pills and sleeping beauty pills at beginning and end. And the Moonlight Sonata tribute was a cool rmx
Raise your weapon
Deadmau5 has been slowly but surely perfecting his dubstep.
Deadmau5 can really work magic when it comes to electronic music
@Agent 39 wow thanks for replying to my comment from over a decade ago. I forgot deadmau5 existed
@@Komadin haha, you should check out his music and albums, fucking great stuff. This tracks drums were used in his song "raise you weapon" from his 2010 album :D
Didn't ever think he would make a dubstep.
But this is on another level
@Chrispoirier thats because its made for clubs. DJs want music like that so that our mixes flow well. and so that the dancers keep dancing to one long song. thats how disco was as well. it all sounded alike because it was made to be mixed into another song.
WASNT THERE A LONGER VERSION OF THIS SOMEWHERE ON UA-cam?????? WTF HAPPENED TO THAT ????
I need more minutes, this song is unstoppable
a whole variety of all kinds of baked good
I'm a dubstep fan but to be honest I wish more dubstep was like this. This is how dubstep tunes should be: deep, dark, heavy, poweful, dirty but tight and co-ordinated at the same time. I think Deadmau5 does a good dubstep tune and I hope he does more :D
"Not just one kind of bread, but a whole variety. And not only bread! But a whole variety of all types of baked goods"
The skull is the one from 'One Piece' but with mouse ears..
Deadmau5 will do whatever the hell he wants and nobody will stop him.
oooooh baked goods, dude this is slick and creative bold polished and fluid, i believe the appropriate term is... bitingly mesmerizing, .. a sound. visionary (paradox)...yea
Guys he made this song because he was trolling...also he has another dubstep song called Derp
He is not a sellout, he made this and Derp sort of as a joke. A very talented joke.
@RudeboyJAMn It is, about 43 seconds longer in fact.
Which doesn't sound like much, but when talking about 5 minutes it's almost 1 whole minute so yes it is a lot longer than 5 minutes only.
yo people who dislike this....wait till he plays it in a concert n youll be blown away!!

just shows you that joel is a man with many talents, i prefer this to most of the 'dubstep' these days
good stealth music :D

the kit in this song is sick, nice to hear some dubstep with a more organic feel in the drums
It's the drum intro to Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks"
@@quantum.9883 i think this is just tommy lee fuckin around on the drums lol

Even if he trolled this out, I quite like this
Very good producer.
Well whatever this is it sounds freaking amazing.
Imagine being chased by zombies with no weapons at all while this song is somehow being blasted super loud. I would be freaking out. :3
@madmax300wins he does have dub step previously created.
under his "project x56".
he's done many types of genres but
he has stuck to house in general.
hey this is dope =D

If deadmau5 brings some elements of his house music over to dubstep this shits gonna get crazy
what a fucking track. i can only hope if this track is going to be on his new album
god damnit i dont understand the hate for this song, its amazing!
@wrylysmiley Dude, we don't give a shit if you hate Skrillex.

@xlr8trperson no shit. thats why its cool. too many artists are afraid of breaking out of there "sound". props to joel.
fuck..... when i die i want this played at my funeral.

@mfc20 he plays this at his shows.
LOL wow. This is better than wutever dubstep is out right now..
