Hello! Joy, optimism, delight: all this and more generates in me your work that is so refined without being forced or stilted. Bravooooo! My admiration and the most affectionate greetings from the ends of the world, from Argentina. And you have to come to Buenos Aires, you are going to love it!
Placing the suspended mirror in the bathroom over the windows was a really good solution considering the floorplan of the space. Also most people shy away from dark colors like you see in the bedroom. What made that work is that the bed is painted white and the bed linens are also pale in color. There was large artwork to the left of the mantle, and a mirror on another wall. When you have dark walls and you keep the other colors neutral and you can break up the space on the walls with artworks. Done this way the artwork and furnishings stand out, and the walls recede. People make the mistake of thinking that dark walls can make a space seem smaller, but in a counter-intuitive way it makes the space seem more relaxing and enveloping.
It was more about the bronze centre. The fireplace was already closed up. Also, justbecause something is old, does not necessarily mean one should keep it.
That vanity was an original. Replicas of it go for at least 5K. Can’t believe they got rid of it. Hope they sold it instead of throwing it away as junk. Could have gotten 10k for it on-line. I wish designers would do a little research before throwing things like original sinks and doors away. Omg! They replaced the fireplace instead of restoring it??? I hate what they did with the fireplace. I would have also turned the playroom into an ensuite bathroom using those original closet doors and existing bathtub. Would have put a shower/bath combo in the existing bathroom. @hgtv, please do not have your designers working on historic houses! Being limited to product placement partners means they always come out horribly butchered! That Victorian was so stripped of its character. Poor Merian.
Always marble everywhere... Why. Such beautiful house and they transformed it into juat regular boring one... Vanity in front of a window is straight up dumb... Sad
I just do not get why they ripped out the fireplace? Or actually, why they chose to go so far away from the victorian style, as they did? The bedroom could have easily been taken in a direction, that had respected both the mantle and the house. And with just a few tiny changes! Yes, they where happy, and I am not saying it was ugly - but that mantle, and the summercover, with the girl, was a big part of the charm and history - and that is what you chose to pull out??
I don’t care for Jeremiah’s style decisions I don’t like that he used such dark colors in there room when it was so bright and pretty before also I saw them on another renovation and he put blue paint all over a couple walkway and living when she said she doesn’t like a lot of color in was like what the hell was he thinking it also had feathers drawn into it as well for a double whammy it was ugly I could tell the home owners did not like that I prefer Nate’s design choices when he’s on his own
Too masculine, limited palette. gray, black and white, is he color blind? There wasn't much "honoring the house" with modern furniture for the dressing room and replacing the mantle with that hide--ok I'm done with this.
Wish there'd been time to see the children's bedrooms. Great house!

Maybe I missed it, but with all the fuss about the brass fireplace insert portraying the former owners' daughter -- where did it go?
My first thought. I'm sure they placed it somewhere else in the house though. We'll have to watch the full episode to find out.
It didn’t go, that’s the thing.
The result is gorgeous 😊
Beautiful home! The 2 moms look like twins, inho.
for gay men its the brother-boyfriend trope, now its sister-girlfriend.

Holy cow that bathroom too lolol!!! I already was floored by that closet lolol !!
I thought they were sisters at first. They look so much alike.
Who ? The guys or the owners ?
Turning the playroom into an office or bath/master closet would make sense.
I can't believe they got rid of that old mantle. That bathroom mirror blocking the window is awful.
The rooms are so spacious.
They wanted to honor the house and took out the original fireplace and put in an ultra modern fireplace?
They said that was the exception around 7:40
They have another fireplace on the first floor that was “honored”.
It was more about the bronze centre. The fireplace was already closed up. Also, justbecause something is old, does not necessarily mean one should keep it.
And the owners of the house said they loved it. Bad decision.
😂😂😂😂 yeah lol 😂😂
Wow lads, awesome!!
Where’s the rest 😢
Stunning❤❤❤❤
Nate and Jeremiah are a very cute couple

What’s with Hubbies vertical Hairdo ?
Why would you even say that? Being nasty serves noone. Least of all yourself.

5:25 Nothing says “sophisticated whimsy” like a silhouette of a giant crow above your baby’s crib. Their kids are going to grow up weird
they forgot to tell N & J to leave the fireplace alone. Sad result.
The homeowners told them they didn’t like it
@@drewconway7135 Then don't buy a 150 yr old house and jabber about character and approve that hideous fireplace!!!!!🤮
@@johns7199 Calm down, Karen

Lovely results, but I hope that didn't cost 80K! How do they get privacy in bathroom at night with windows behind mirror? That house is dreamy! TFS
there are drapes behind the mirror that you can just lower.
❤
Jeremy, huny you need a pin board, that tape is not working. If you make an inspirational board for projects it's time to work smarter 👍
Wow that bronze plate in the fireplace with Miriam on it from the original owners 😳
An 80K budget for a full floor renovation, how?

Is there a blind behind the bathroom mirror? Awkward
#screenlava
I’m in shock! The worst you’ve ever done!
It seems they do so little with the budget money! Other reno shows can redo the whole house for that budget...not a fan sorry

I hate it
