You have such an amazing voice to listen to! Just started airbrushing, and REALLY wanted to do a starry sky/Nebula painting. This looks totally effortless, I can't wait to start working with these techniques!
"If something looks bad it doesn't mean you suck, it means you're not done" is probably the best thing I've ever heard said about art
its just paint right? Sketching to drawing is a great comparison.. while there are some guys who can sketch tremendously well. the rest of us have to alter adjust erase and refine. The guys who sketch really well.. draw ALL the time. Thanks! I taught kids art in summer programs, and i always told my kids, they would ask me if they were done, same answer. It is done when you are happy with it. :)
I agree wholeheartedly. I was just going to comment the same exact thing. Love your videos, man! Thank you!
Great video, the first I have seen starting with a white background, great idea!
Now to do this next week.
Outstanding statement. Just cause it’s ugly doesn’t mean you suck. It just means you’re not done. This is so very true :).
If I quit when they were ugly... nothing would get finished!
Super helpful!!!! Appreciate the work!!
Super stuff.
Thanks so much for your vids. This was fun. Deciding if I should add a starburst or not. I was hoping I'd be able to post my pic, but apparently I can't.
Thanks Bill, love your no-nonsense approach to your beautiful art! I'll catch up on your other vids.
Awesome bro
you remind me so much of bob ross and I love it! keep up the amazing art
Wow, thank you!
New methods are always good

Following you from South Coast of England. Fantastic, I'm learning so much from you. thank you for showing me your skills and knowledge, how you build up you colours to get the depth and highlights. Keep them coming. Much appreciated. Mike
Thanks Mike! I got a few friends across the pond!
Muy bonito enhorabuena. en que papel pintas ? Muchas gracias
Thanks for this, it’s something I want to do myself.
Buen trabajo! Saludos desde Colombia
Thanks so much for making this, it’s just what I’ve been looking for 😊
your welcome!
The sky is so pretty!
Thanks :)
Nicely explained, Bill. Keep it up!
Thanks John!
Parabéns!! e obrigado pela ajuda
You are very welcome friend!
Damn your good.
Thanks!
very nice,
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed!
I use the mini Gerald Mendez stencils and I make my stars the same way you do. Not always though. Sometimes I use a toothbrush.
yup done the toothbrush and other stiff brushes. lots of ways to do things :)
what kind of transparent peint you use?thanks!
most of the time I use createx illustration paint. which you can find a link for in the description. however Golden high flows have both transparent and opaques. Com art has transparents and most of the airbrush companies have a transparent and opaque line. the original createx illustration is not marked transparents but they are. and the opaque are listed as opaque although some of the bloodline and lifeline series are more opaque.
Where could i get the stencil yo use
Look up hamm air on facebook or shopify :)
Where can I get the Stencil you used?
I put links in the description just now :)
Can I make a special request pleeeaaaseeeee? Can you recreate this pattern over carbon fiber? I’d like to call it “cosmic carbon” 😁
well you can.. but you would defintely need to use transparents.. and perhaps some micro pearls. so you would see the carbon fibre pattern.
@@TheAIRspace I’ll look into that for sure! This is an automotive finish I’m looking to do so idk if the paint materials will have trouble bonding or not
@@Diamondsintherubble wicked paints, as well as createx illustration are designed to bond to properly prepped surfaces.. Aside from 2k clearcoats paint manufacturers many of them have been using waterbourne paints a very long time.
@@TheAIRspace okay. The surface layer would be mirror finish epoxy/plastic, the base coating. So hopefully the paint will have good adhesion, it’s the clear coat that I’m worried about. Someone mentioned there was some sort of binder that allowed paint coats to interlock but I forgot the name of it off the top of my head
Thanks for this, it’s something I want to do myself.
Go for it!
