LOL... THAT looks exactly like one of my projects... ROFL.... good effort and not edited(to be sure) real reality video... I appreciate your sincerity for sure !!! and the dizzying belly laugh was awesome too... !!! LOL !!!
Same carb. Same generator. Used barbecue regulator. Gen would run start and run ok for less than a minute then start surging, then quit. It turned out regulator was the problem. Switched to higher flow regulator. Problem solved!
On the smaller generators the stud spacing is 42mm. Look for a carburetor relates to the 160F or 170F Chinese engines. On the larger generators the stud spacing is 52mm. Look for a carburator for a 180F or 190F Chinese engine.
Thanks for the time.Ive got same generator so this was pretty helpful. Not sure I'll go with the same kit tho.Looks like a nice kit but you get what u pay for and I'd be worried it wouldn't last long term or some other issue pop up when I really don't want it to. How has it performed since u installed it? Have u had to use it since?
Just bought a compact silent type generator 3.2kw , i like the conversion but im concerned about the space i have to work with to fit this kit, any thoughts?
Hey, looking to do this conversion for my similar 4,000 champion. is there any other products that are needed besides the Carburetor? thanks for putting the time into this!
In addition to the carburetor and the fitting I used to in the video, you will need a NG hose and quick release fitting like this amzn.to/3on8tQ5. The gas pipe and valves are standard Home Depot or lowes items. Hope this helps
I have the exact same generator and the carb is clogged up from the gas I had in it, even with stabilizer. I want to convert to natural gas as well. Do I need to clean the carb out as well or replace it with a new one when I put the natural gas kit on, or is the existing carb no longer used to regulate anything?
The Tri fuel kits usually come with a new carb (mine did) so you won’t need your existing. I would still keep your old one and spray with carb cleaner to clean it once you have it off. Clean the bowl and the jets by just spraying the cleaner (very easy). Backups are always good. Plus you may want to switch back if you sell it.
Is the barb that comes on the end of the manifold elbow also 1/4"? I'm thinking of just doing a hose to hose connect. 3/4 inch thread to 1/4 barb on gas line to avoid removing it.
You can covert any generator to propane or NG, you just have to find the proper conversion. There are companies that make them for almost all engines but some are pricey.
i did mine yesterday and I regret it !!!!! i had to take the engine out because the Carburetor could not get out because the frame was in the way . The gasket cracked and i dont habe a new one .and and and 2h later ....it dont run on LPG at all and runs shit on petrol, now
I know right. My father in law was an industrial pipe fitter and would freak out if I used yellow tape when showing how to do gas plumbing. Guess it’s just beat into me over the years.

I appreciate the comment, thanks for the positive feedback:)
Great video. Put the exact same carb on the same generator. Ran 14 days last winter on natural gas.
Less BTUs than gasoline but man, it sure is nice not having to go out and refill that thing. We lost ours for 4 days straight and it was a gem.

Well did it work?
Terry Harrelson yes sir
Nice one
I think what you are calling a compression fitting might actually be a flare fitting.

LOL @ 6:40 - The funniest thing that I've heard all month...
Honey, I'm going to be UA-cam famous.
Thanks.
So did it work or not?
Yes , it works. NG has less BTU than gasoline and I have noticed a little less power.
unbolt the gen from the frame, then lift and slide sideways. Then will be clearance for the new carb.
Great idea.

Bought one installed runs on Gas but can't run on Propane.
I have not tried propane.

Hard to tell. Some times you have to cut things like your frame. Really depends model to model

Pls I am having gas fumes from my airfilter, when using the conversion kit, Pls what do I do.
While running? You will get some when priming. It it’s too strong, I would stop and let it air out.
Wife - "Cool"
You - "See that, my wife actually liked something i did"
That sounds exactly how all my explanations of my project talks go with my wife
Lol. I hear yah :)

Can you convert the smaller champion 2500w quiet gas generators to propane?

@@ShutterFanatic Thx bro! Any idea on keyword searches for a Champion 2500w portable gen?
@@willwashington9275 motorsnorkel.com. You can try these guys. If you don’t see your model, maybe call them.
@@willwashington9275 www.uscarburetion.com. Here is another.
Does kit fit all generators? I have champion 6875/5500.
No, larger generators usually take a different one as they require more fuel. They probably make a similar model as those are fairly common as well.
Will this fit the Champion 46596 4000/3500 RV generator?Mine looks like the one in your video. What kit did you order from amazon?
Shutter Fanatic where did you get the conversation kit from and what kit is it?
Barry Hartman Bought it on Amazon. Saihisday Carb Dual Fuel Carburetor LPG Conversion Kit 6.5HP 7.5HP Engine Fits Generator GX200 170F
Shutter Fanatic I have been looking and can not find it. Any help you can give will be great

Man, I would have aborted the install before taking the engine out. Sucks it didn’t work out for you.
جيد
Hahaha - I seem to have the same luck
find a kid with a mini bike hell show you the way
So you're not even going to start it up now? After making two 1/2 hour videos, now you just cut the video?
There is a part 3. Here is a link. ua-cam.com/video/EqjHbZGPlrc/v-deo.html

@@ShutterFanatic lmfao yeah my grandpa is electrician so I always triple check things cause if I didn't he would shock me on purpose
That's a small engine I have a larger engine
They make different sizes.
All that and you didn't even start it, come on guy....waste of time.
You just have to watch the last part. Had to break it up into a few videos due to length
Would of like to watch rest of video was interesting till language started 😔
this is painful to watch
