I’m having to build two fish puppets for our school’s production of Disaster! The Musical so this video really is a lifesaver! Never thought anything good could come from Baby Shark!
Dude I love this!! The tail wag is so lively! Also, I love the small amount of craft foam you put on the top of the mouth piece, it really gives it a lot more control for expression! I’m totally gunna use that!
I am so excited to make this for my 2 year old grandson. He is a shark fanatic and we are officially, "G-ma Shark and G-pa Shark!" Will post a photo when it is finished. Thank you!
@@PuppetNerd got the puppet finished and shipped to my 2 yr old grandson for Valentine's day. Printed the pattern on cardstock to make it durable and save the step of gluing to cardboard. Since he is only 2, I sewed the fins onto the body before putting over the foam. That will keep him from pulling it apart. Posting pics on Instagram. Hope I can figure out how to tag you. Thanks again for posting the pattern and video!
Hey, great puppet! My niece will love this! Just wondering if there’s any particular reason that you hand sew on the fins after sewing up the body, as opposed to sewing them into the seams. Does it make reversing the fabric over the foam more difficult, for instance?
You could totally do that. The fins would be a bit more floppy though. But some people might like that. Stitching around the fin gives it more surface area connecting the fin to the body.

Hi Adam. Love your tutorials. I like the idea of using a container lid for the mouth plate. You make it look easy. I use hot gun glue, and you have to work fast; and it can burn your fingers. I'm giving away a new (commercial) Biker puppet to help my channel. Hope you don't mind my post. Thanks. Howard.
