IU in My Mister is at a whole new level of acting
Yes, she was great in this show, but even better in My Mister, which IMO is her finest work. That show is a true masterpiece.
She gave me chills in My Mister. Truly superb acting. Love her since Scarlet Heart ❤️
For sure that drama got me so emotional and I’ve heard that IU was going through some hardships that made her depressed and she was going to back out but she continued with it so she related the emotions her character was feeling that made it more believable.
I found IU as an actress in My Mister. She had me from the get go, and so captive my heart that I would go to bed worrying about her, as silly as that sounds. I then discovered she was a singer. This all occurred in the fall of 2020. Rarely a day goes by when I haven't listen to or watched her singing or acting or both.
She shines the most in it
This drama is beautiful journey of Jang man wol.

Hotel Del Luna is one of my favorites kdrama.
I knew IU first as an actress than an idol.. watched her first from Dream High S1 with Miss A Bae Suzy and T-ARA Eunjung
IU is legitimately a great actress. Ready for Oscar/Cannes/etc awards with the right role.
Hotel del Luna is the right thing to watch as first impression. Its a good intro to both Kdramas & IU (the actress). Its fun & accessible but still has substance & weight.
My favourite IU show (and you will hear this quite a lot) is My Mister. But that's something you really need to be in the mood to watch. My Mister is like a Kdrama crossed with those naturalistic Euro/Japanese films you see celebrated at Cannes
I looove it when people discover IU's acting because it;s so relatable to when I first discovered her acting. Hotel De Luna was my first too. Then I watched My Mister and Dream High. She was always really good and has got so much better. I'm glad her company allowed her to act while also being a solo idol.
Jang man wol is the reason why i fell inlove with iu. I just discover her in this series and got curious who is this great actress and mesmerized in her eyes while watching the drama. U should focus on her eyes. The eye acting is amazing. Then i found out shes a singer. And not just a singer but a legendary soloist in south korea.and also fell in love and comforted by singer iu. Been a fan since this series was released. Cant get out in the iu's rabbit hole 😅. You should watch My Mister too its the first series where iu was nominated as best actress. 2nd series is hdl. She was 2 time consecutively nominated as best actress in baeksang awards. And she's the youngest among the nominees both year. She's great right. She's really talented both in acting and singing songwriting 😍
Hotel del luna is definitely on my top list of my favorite kdramas i even love IU more becoz of this her acting and the storyline are so good that i've watched this for 4 times now and will definitely watch it again and again ❤☺

IU is such a great actress. she acted in a lot of drama and movies
IU can definitely act. She went to the Cannes Film Festival with Song Kang-Ho for the movie Broker. I knew her first as an actress before I knew she was a singer (but that's because I don't really listen to Korean music).
I love how Moonlight Sonata is always playing in the background when they want to break our hearts. 😂❤😂

26:38 its not that she "can't" kill, but that the hotel policy is not to kill for the sake of other ghosts' vengeance. This is a reputable hotel, after all. That doesn't mean any of the employees lack the ability to kill, just that they won't kill for the customer's sake.

This is one of the best-written dramas. Anything the show mentioned or showed will be utilized while still leaving enough for a potential sequel. For example, the gun here seems like a one-time-use prop, but they did remember to use it again. The eyeless ghost isn't just a typical extra, her story will be told.
