    I was blown away by the first teaser trailer of Cyberpunk 2077, which was wow... 10 years ago now. At the end of the trailer it said "coming: when it's ready".
    Well, almost 3 years after the initial release it is finally ready!

      I'd want a return to those roots, tbh. The slower and more calculated sword fights from the OG games and puzzle aspects of figuring out how to get where you needed to go in the big maze-like maps were fun as hell. I am excited to see what they do with AC Mirage, but I do feel like people are looking at the original Assassin’s Creed through nostalgia goggles. The first game had some great ideas and was pretty revolutionary in a way, but as a game it wasn’t too great. AC2 was 100x better and is really where the series found its legs.

    • @JamesSmith-ny2gb
      @JamesSmith-ny2gb 10 місяців тому +2

      Only problem with the first AC is the repetitive nature of it, in terms of design and atmosphere if they are going that way with mirage, I’m down for it. Sadly they are keeping the simplistic parkour of the RPG games

    • @trunksbriefs4132
      @trunksbriefs4132 10 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, AC2 is where it improved massively. The first game was novel, but not very good.
      Problem is, I don't think that they've improved the series enough since 2. Ubisoft look more at playtime and filling the game with garbage than actual criticism. Imagine an AC with combat well designed like GoW or Dark Souls, and stealth like MGS... that would be insane, but those components are mid or even bad compared to those series.

      I totally agree about AC 1. It's a great proof of concept game but it's not the most fun. I don't see how so many people think Altair is one of the best protagonist's. His character is boring and bland. At least I definitely would rate it and Altair nearer the bottom of the list after playing it recently.

  • @criticallol3039

Like if you play mario, and they take all the jump combo, and making it more rpg is it still mario game?

I'm sure this may give you a fun new challenge to find 8 more games and probably will incentivize the viewers to pick an old game back up. Food for thought 😊

      We’ll see. AC has drastically changed since Black Flag. It may be a “smaller world” but I highly doubt it’ll play like the first game or even Ezio triology. Ubisoft has made so much $$ off of micro transactions from Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, I cannot foresee them throwing up that lucrative system. And with that system comes the game mechanics that encourages players to invest in the micro transactions, so don’t be shocked if this game is more so a smaller version of Valhalla than something more akin to the original games.

      You have a jacket inventory with slots.
      Do you want more batteries, ammo. Healing? All the same slots.
      You can use bandages to heal yourself but also mix it with a bottle for a molotov.
      There are plastic bottles that act like delayed bombs, and glass that explode on impact.
      You can also just mix the liquid with ammo to make it stronger.

      Well I agree, I’ve played the original and still love the 08 version.
      Introducing many new features to a TPS genre.
      Rather than limited to a single item to create something. Any flammable spray can become a weapon. Even as u said the healing spray.
      Rationing them and planning when to heal or burn something is interesting.
      Also my fav is the car, can check many places to find items or leak petrol and use it as a bomb. Crash into the monsters and so on.
      Handling wooden 🪵 objects in the environment with 🔥 was a great way to conserve ammo.
      Car scene takes some time to get use to. But when it’s done, it’s fun to rewatch it again. To see it without all the stress of surviving clouding ur view of what’s going on 😆. Well If ur recording it. 😊

    next to Remnant 2, Armored Core 6 is my most hyped game this year. though not going to lie, watching the trailers makes me wish we had a spin off of AC like Anthem. those gritty mechs in that universe where you could legit fly them would be so epic. give me missions as a Raven merc in that post apocalyptic world, upgrade my mech and fly around, dynamic events even during missions, but also free roam. sounds like heaven.

  • @DelusioNic014

    The best way for AC to really take things to the next level is to do what the new Hitman games did: give us options. Ubi should not renounce what they did with the newer games, because outside of the very reduced focus on stealth those were still very much AC games in every sense of the word.

The open world assassin's creed games are even better well received overall when you look at basically any review. But now we want to go back to linear.
