This was very helpful I just left my recruiting office and I’m getting ready to take the PiCat. I had ACL surgery in 2016 and I was nervous about that.
No luck needed, just take your patience, your own lunches (if you don’t want sandwiches), and something to keep yourself occupied. The medical portion honestly wasn’t that long I was the last one to get a physical and that ended around 11:45, most of the waiting starts after that for your interview and paperwork. It’s a lot of back and forth between different offices, after all of that you just have to wait to take the oath. Wassup I actually found out a different option and do no have to go to the military anymore but if anything ever happens I know that the navy or army can be a last resort and will not hesitate to sign up there are some great jobs besides medical ones regardless these vids did help out since i was watching them for about a month and some change and really gonna consider signing up but I didn’t have too stay safe much love💯

I've already gone to verify PiCAT and need to go back in the next few weeks or so for the physical aspects. A few years ago I had surgery for my ACL. Meps already approved all of my surgery documents and said it's all good and no consultation needed. I work out all the time and my knee feels amazing, feels normal but I'm nervous for duck walk. Any way to prepare?
How'd it go?
@@youraveragejoe2 very easy experience. Practically didn't ask any questions about my ACL. And the duck walk lasted 3 seconds maybe. Super easy but long day
This was very helpful I just left my recruiting office and I’m getting ready to take the PiCat. I had ACL surgery in 2016 and I was nervous about that.
Going to meps in 2 weeks wish me luck😬✌️
No luck needed, just take your patience, your own lunches (if you don’t want sandwiches), and something to keep yourself occupied. The medical portion honestly wasn’t that long I was the last one to get a physical and that ended around 11:45, most of the waiting starts after that for your interview and paperwork. It’s a lot of back and forth between different offices, after all of that you just have to wait to take the oath. (If you want to be one of the first done, try to be one of the first off the bus- I’m not joking)
Good luck!
I failed the ASVAB TWICE!!!!! I’m good at everything except math now I have to take it at Meps 😢
Good luck bro I hope you pass it at meps!!
When do you go to meps? I’m going sunday and Monday

Did you pass Ethan?
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 my bad i just saw this and i don’t need arms 2.0 anymore i ship in 4 days to benning
Did they shine a flash light on ur body to check for scars? I heard they do that. Is the light even bright and do they barely look? I'm just curious tbh lol
No they didn’t shine a light to check for scars but they do look at you body while your in your underwear.
If you take the PICAT at your recuiter you go to Meps and take the ASVAB or the verification test
I am headed to MEPS this Friday for my physical. I am prior service. I served in the military from 2009-2017. I am worried about the hearing test. Are the beeps in the same rhythm. Like every five seconds there's a beep
Yes the beeps are the same rhythm they just get lower. You should go good. We’re you active before?
How was your experience at MEPS as prior service? I'm a Marine veteran trying to get into the NG.
@@grantgray1759 for me it wasn’t bad. I didn’t tell anyone I was prior service so they treated me like I was new to everything. I thought it was funny.

Hey man, do we have to get our second questionnaire about COVID-19 already filled when you go to the MEPS station???
Yes it has to be filled out already before you get there.
I had two...but I had to give one to the Hotel staff where I'm staying right now and I have one left...they are probably gonna ask me for one when I arrive at the MEPS station right????
@@FranciscoRamirez-df3gp yep that’s the one you’ll turn in when you get there.

So helpful thanks man! Question, do they check your teeth? Oral health
Your welcome. No they don’t.
If you could crossrate what rate would you pick?
I would be a CB or a RS. I would even try a air rate.
Leaving for meps in 30 min
Cool! Let me know who it went.
So there may be a comment, but I was told that if I was vaccinated I would not have to do the quarantine. Does anyone know whether I was misinformed or not? Thank you in advance!
Sorry Stacey I do not know the answer to your question. Maybe someone who’s been through the process could comment.
I’m going to MEPS soon, I’ve had a knee surgery due to an accident several years ago. Do you think they’ll give me a waiver?
Does your recruiter know about the surgery if so what did they say?
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 Yeah he knows about it. He thinks it will be no problem since it didn’t naturally degrade, rather got damaged and repaired. But then again, said it’s hit or miss with MEPS in Nashville. Doctor released me with no restrictions two years ago.

I go to the hotel tomorrow thanks man
How did it go?
What are some of the sickness that can kick you out of the military especially Navy
In the hotel right now wondering how long you had to duck walk
It was about 8 step down and back not long.
It’s nothing to worry about.
So basically I did all of this and now my ship date is coming up and they say I have to go back to meps for a day or two. What will I be doing there? I already got all my stuff done and swore in, my buddy told me you go back to swear in again but I don’t understand why or why that would take a whole day
How do they check your heartbeat? What exactly do they do?
They use a stethoscope. They put it up to your chest and back and tell you in take deep breaths.
They open your chest up and sqeeze ya heart a few times
also, is hiv the only thing they test for in blood? i hate getting my blood taken because im scared of stuff being abnormal 🥺
Great video
Thank you!
I’m going to meps soon and you don’t have to quarantine
Oh for real. What do they have you do then?
remember don't drink
That’s right because they will breathalyze you.
I’m on my way to MEPS tmr
Ok good luck bro!!
The recruiter office is place I have to go for asvab test
You could take the practice test there but not the official asvab test. You will have to go to meps to take the official asvab test.
I go to meps this Monday for the army

I have a few questions about the medical history portion. Do i have to tell them about medical things that happened to me as a child?
If it isnt a current issue, and doesnt bother you anymore, then don't say anything. Lmao
What they don’t won’t hurt you. I would keep my mouth shut.
Can you be disqualified for hyper extensive elbows?
So, I have scars from work on my left and right arm , and I used to play hard outside causing scratches and bumps. Like do they care about that seriously. No records or history of something that can lead to them believing harming myself. Air Force btw. ARE THE CHECKS quick and EASY?
Ayy bro the most important thing is not to lie. When you're in meps and they are done taking your blood pressure they put you in a room were you fill out a sheet of all your body marks. Tell them the truth about everything. Once you do the duck walk and the skin check, she/he will fill out a sheet telling the doctor to check you. IF YOU FILLED IT OUT EARLIER he will skip over it. So remember dont lie.
@@goobenstein19d26 yeah I won’t lie my recruiter said go ahead and tell em bout it the o my thing that bothers me is that they’ll call BS and think I’m lieing about it. But yeah my recruiter wrote about it before hand the application she had me do.
Did u have a part named cyber security in ure asvab

Yo bro I took the real picat test at the recruiters office and not at my house. Do I still need to verify that at meps or not because I think my recruiter said i don’t have to because I already took it on the office?
You still have to verify at MEPS, you’ll also have to take TAPAS which is a personality test it’s around 170 questions. Keep your fingers crossed and hope they don’t select you to take the full ASVAB.
@@SuperOutragious yes listen to her👆🏾she is right. it will be random if the computer picks you to take the whole test again. I got lucky and only had to take a 30 question test.

@@DaveDavidDavidson because I have always wanted to be one since before I joined now I see what they do and know they are the keepers of tradition they are one of the original rates and it think it’s cool what they do I want to stand the watches they stand I want to work hard and be called boats and paint and do preservation work and have a sea and anchor station to feel like I’m doing something and I want to be a helmsman and get the same collateral opportunities they have like crash and smash and vbss I don’t want to be in the galley all the time smelling like food and not enjoying what I do I think I would love being a boatswain mate and it would make me do good things if you love your job it’s probably awesome being in the navy that’s why I want to be a bm
Do they check your medical records at all ?
Not from civilian doctors unless you tell them what happened.
How long after you speak with your recruiter do you have to go to MEPS?
