  • One year ago I bought a Best Tugs Alpha 1 tug to get N191LN, my Cirrus SR20, in and out of the hangar. Here I reflect on one year of ownership and discuss why you need a tug when you own an airplane. #191LN #planemedicine #planemedicine.org
Special thanks to COPA, cirrus aircraft, and ‪@ProbableCause-DanGryder‬ for the inspiration. And to‪@BestTugsYT‬ for a great product!

I don't need a tug because the hang glider transports on the car, stores in my garage, doesn't require an annual, a 100hr, or insurance tie down or hanger. Is more fun and requires little to no maintenance or any fuel. it has provided the most memorable flying experiences in my life, better then GA/T34/T2/TA4/F14/F18/DC9/B737/B747/B757/B767/B777/B787. what can I say, the embodiment of personal human flight. there's nothing like a competition class topless hang glider..

It also probably doesn’t enable you to fly 200 miles an hour.

@@planemedicine Been to 60,000' and 1.95IMN in the Hornet. Got shot at bigtime south of Bagdad in the F14 during the gulf war, so pretty much over it actually. Nothing better then a pair of crows joining up on you and flying formation, or climbing out from 500' agl to cloud base at 13,000' in a 2000'/min thermal, the best and a complete joy! and it's in my garage hanging on the wall, epic!
