I'm waiting for the next gen or even the one after. Jumped in early on the oculus stuff and the software and such was slow to progress so Ima wait on these despite how dope they seem. I guess if I didn't have any VR set I would jump on it tho. Seems rad af

Congratulations Jade! I'm also going to be "looking into" Vision Pro for music and art purposes on my channel! SOME of the iPad music apps work so far, let's hope they ALL will be updated for it soon. (Koala Sampler does work! TNR-e which I like, Patterning 2 Drum Machine, etc.)

That’s the one thing I said yes the quest three is great but it’s never going to be an apple. If anybody was going to make them durable and fun, Apple will be the ones to that.

I just got a new prescription from the optometrist just to get in on the VP. Sadly I still need prisms in custom lenses and Apple doesn’t support it. They wrote a prescription without the prisms but I’m not sure I would be able to handle it without getting a migraine after a couple hours.
I’m probably going to go with Metaquest 3 at this point til Apple offers some assistance for eye-cripples. 😢

What might be cool is using it as a learning tool for students learning hardware synthesis... ( Thinking a tutor & student miles apart who both are hooked up to it... ~ The student could have an overlay highlighting changes on their synth or project that the tutor has adjusted etc... )
AR overlays! yes. Also, there is "Synth VR" and other things which simulate Modular on Quest VR

It's not apple that does it right looool the field of view is lower than every new headset and i use my Macbook Pro with Logic Pro X and I use my Quest 3 as a monitor and I also have full blown DAW'S on my Quest 3 like Virtuoso where I can play instruments in Mixed Reality and I also have a DAW called Korg Gadget VR which give you a whole virtual music studio full of Korg Products its dope Apple doesn't have anything for musicians on that headset the Quest 3 has all of that plus more is you get sidequest on their and i also have several instruments like steelpan, guitars, pianos etc and I sometimes play them live into my soundcard into Logic Pro X and Apple does not have a headphone jack which handicaps it for making music as you will have no way of getting the music out live and the headset is to heavy and having a wire doesn't help as I do fitness also in VR completely wireless the Quest 3 is looking like the better headset in terms of value as it does everything apart from the eye tracking and trust me eye tracking is not really anything to brag about as my Playstation VR2 has it helps when you want to see your eyes are in that headset but the Quest 3 does really need it as it use pancake lense like the vision pro as the Mixed Reality software on it is next level just look up Mixed Reality games and apps and you'll see a $500 dollar headset have way better software than anything apple is currently offering this headset just makes me love my Quest 3 even more i even clean up whilst using it to me it's just a slightly better version of the Quest 3 and the Quest 3 does alot more in terms of software and sheer amount of apps available on the headset as it has 3 stores to get apps and games from and more compatible which other platforms I can even play Mario in Mixed Reality on it 😉 and all of Nintendo games also in Mixed Reality if i hook my PC to it wirelessly all for $500 the price of AppleCare for this device and most of the features are coming to the Quest 3 😁 so soon I will be able to directly upload spatial photos and videos directly to my Quest 3 and view them plus more

A lot of ppl saying they can’t use it for more than an hour. I’m thinking that laying flat or at an angle (think chaise lounge), can alleviate any neck strain so you can use it for a few more hours at a time.
