I love that I made a last second trip on the ferry and I was in Avalon with my boy Ian and we saw you out there when we were fishing on the dinghy. Ian caught a 40 pound(atleast) yellowtail last Friday trolling off the dinghy. Gotta love it! Tasted amazing too. Love your videos man! Never stop!
Cooler than average summer + the most fishing pressure we've seen in years + poor quality bait-barge bait = a tough fishing season 😕 In early August, the N.B. bait barge had anchovies for the first time in forever. We hooked up lots of kelp bass on the Izor's Reef easily using those anchovies that day. Otherwise been a real slow summer. And I appreciate your honesty about the slow fishing! Helps regular joes like me save money on unproductive cattle-boat tickets (I'll go surf fishing with those savings instead, which has been okay this summer).
I feel like there just hasn't been any real hurricanes down south to push that warm water highway up. But then again, the ocean will do what it wants and we are all just speculating.
New subscriber bro. Your videos are awesome. I have a 21’ striper. I’m out of HB. Question is that Parsons landing? I don’t recognize that spot and have been everywhere but there.
Grear video! Thank you for the content. I kinda wish you would have shown how to pick up people from catalina on a private boat. Do they have a public dock?
Thanks for watching! You can pick people up on the inside ferry dock when they aren’t there (quickly of course) or on the green pier. Just no tying off because those spots are used for commercial purposes
WHATS THE NEW LAW ABOUT ROCKFISH??? Im not 100% sure, but i thought once you are in possession of rockfish, you cant fish any water under 300' or something likt that? ???
Enzo is my spirit animal
He is a vibe for sure

Awesome, thank you! What gear are you asking about
Good stuff Adam, nice vid. Is it me or does fishing seem pretty slow this year, at least compared to the last few years?
The local stuff has been soooo slow this year it’s pretty rough to be honest. Just never got that influx of fish

Looks like so much fun. Do you have to reserve those camp sites?
It was a great time. Ya you have to reserve the sites, they have a website you can look up availability
Hey Man, Do you have any vids of your boat, walkthrough, looking to build a similar setup to dive and fish!!
@@lukegavigan5212 that’s I good idea I should definitely do something like that
Where is the best places to look for the macs? Thanks and your videos are sweet.
Usually around the jetty mouth or kelp lines
Sick video. The socal life is amazing. Did you have to get a permit to camp at that spot?
@@fishingfromsandiego it really is! You can book the sites online or by calling two harbors

Depends on the season now. The regulations are relatively clear on their website. We stayed inside the 50 fathom line with rockfish on board.
