      We went to a sandals cocktail bar that was specifically formal but they let people wear sundresses and shorts come in. So we just looked ridiculously overdressed. Which made it like EVERY other bar in the whole resort. We want to dress very formal on "chic" night but don't want to be the only ones.

    • @TravelingFlamingo
      @TravelingFlamingo  2 роки тому +1

      We are so glad that you found the video helpful. Good point about gratuities. The short version would be an additional fee on your cruise fare that will be settled after your cruise. Some people old opt to pre-pay the gratuity upfront. In addition usually you leave extra for your room steward on your last day, some people also tip as they go around for extraordinary service. Some people also opt out and tip as they go along. Hope that helps

      We're going on a 14-day Northerthern Europe cruise, and we have booked the Royal Suite. If I want to wear nice designer jeans, heels and a nice top, that's what I'm going to wear. I only pay attention to my husband and really could care less as to what other people are wearing, especially if we are following the Celebrity's dress code. Yup! That's the formal night, so generally they do that when everyone is in their best. Of course the photos will cost money and/or require a package but they will be out in full force to take photos. Thanks for highlighting that, we'll be sure to add it into future dress code videos! Look, I would *rather* be looking at a bunch of people in T-shirts and jeans than having to look at women's boobs sliding out of their dresses. Guess I will not be sailing on Celebrity. BTW, I skipped over the ad for the luggage. I say the "dress code" should be whatever you would wear on land. I have dined at fancy restaurants on land wearing sandles, a T-shirt and jeans.
