Synopsis:
In 1896, Amelia Dyer was hung for the murder of 7 children. Investigators believed she was responsible for the murder of over 400 children over a 30 year span. Now over a 100 years later, detective John Hayes is struggling with a number of missing children cases. He must start to believe in more than just the facts or history will repeat itself.

Absolutely astonished this is only a short film. The camera work. The angles. The scoring. The acting. Everything down to the atmosphere it sets. So good! Full-length film is needed on this story!

I've been binge watching short horror films on youtube for the last two days. This was the first one I watched that I actually really enjoyed and found to be scary. That ending sequence was so thrilling. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this!

"Official" movies have way too much pressure to make money, so creativity and other things outside the "norm" are sacrificed for marketability. Self-made shorts like this have a lot more freedom in content and production, which allows them to really shine.

This will be a masterpiece. It carries all of the elements. Perhaps the very best, for me, was that from the beginning to the end I could not look away the suspense was heart pounding, nail-biting and I enjoyed every minute of it.

This is brilliant! Like I was hooked from beginning since the very end. You know that feeling where you were left speechless and need a while to wholly understand the whole thing, like you were left to think about it and the fact that it is taken from actual murder case is actually bone chilling. I'm just still processing everything though. I feel bad for the couple they trusted Claire and well NGL the way she acted in front of them she was literally radiating calmness and peace and you just seem to trust her because of her way of speaking. Actors did a great job. It was Directed perfectly. Loved the angles, like the scene where anya was walking out of her bedroom and her reflection was visible in mirror and when the radio starts to play a song(loved that part).

Yeah was a fun one to shoot this. We hired an air bnb for the house scene. Also the radio song is an actual song that was written about Amelia Dyer.

Because he wanted to ensure that no one could see, that why he went so deep in the would you see
Listen, some people do this, they feel more comfortable not being seen when they pee/want some privacy! 🤷♂️

I hate it when these don't have an ending. Most of them at least have an open ending, but theres way too much left unresolved.
I know I know I’m sorry. This was intentional though, as I wanted to see if people were interested in the story and wanted more. But happy to say that I’m working on a feature length version of this story and that will be fully flushed out to actually have a wrapped up ending 👍

I want part 2 and more! You did set it up nicely to do another 2nd short film and finish it up or you could even make a few more, make it a series and as the modern story progress you can insert more background as you go. There's were so many deaths and facts surrounding this story I'm sure you could add a few more shorts(parts), about the same length without destroying the original feel, vision (assuming, depends on your vision) and storyline.
Could there be a second part to this? I'd really love to see what happens next! Very well made film.

This was great , I would love to see a part 2 or a series , maybe staying with these characters and using the detective to expand the story with previous cases till ,the eventual conclusion of what is born into the world , they could also be chapters with her and the dark battling , I would really love to see this short expanded . This movie is so good. I am a horror buff and I absolutely love watching good horror movies. Unfortunately, they are very little good horror movies. Well done! The running in the woods (ending) was a little choppy, but not in a real noticeable way - loved the special effects at the end. I'd love to see this as a full film, stretching out the timeline of the wife missing and filling in the story behind sister claire to manage some of the time. I enjoyed this!

i'm confused by most of these comments. my main issue is that i watched the entire thing and don't feel like i watched anything. it's like a couple conversations and then a woman yucking it up in the woods. am i missing something?
I know what you’re saying. After making this and having some time away, then rewatching it later I felt a similar way. However this was a project that was almost a tester to just see what I could do as a one man band film maker and the story really needed to be flushed out to a full feature length to have more story. I think that I know who this is her character was featured in an episode of deadly women which is a crime documentary here in the United States that includes reenactment you may have heard of the show but anyway thanks for the upload this was awsome great story and script the horror genre never fails I'm always on the edge of my seat with this type of genre and this movie is no exception thanks again

The story is basically the ogress , a demon/entity that wants to become human again and at the end of this short it takes Anya, meaning its now inside of her and when she gives birth, it will be born into the world.

So, this sick woman who murdered all these babies and children was killed in front of a bunch of mirrors and cast into her own kind of hell; this was the place that man's wife ended up when she went through the mirror? When she got there a darkness overcame her and she became the evil woman? I know the detective was reading something about the Ogress and it said she needs a human body to cross over into our world. I think that is what happened but I'm not the best at interpreting stories. It was very intriguing though, and I didn't even know about this woman, so the story was really brutal, raw, and heartbreaking. It would have made one hell of a feature film! Superb storytelling as I sit here with insomnia at 4 a.m. astonished and amazed that such a person could have done those horrific things to innocent and pure little angels. She was one sick and twisted human being and hearing that she killed around 400 babies/children was heartbreaking; it shattered my soul to the core. Amazing job to all of the cast and crew who took part in this short horror film!

I just started watching and love the suspense so far. The accents are delightful!
This was excellent!!! When I think of films that have a whole bunch of money poured into them.....just so they end up looking terrible with horrible acting, and then here's u with this masterpiece putting them to shame!!! ONLY a true master of their craft can produce something so awesome with very little to work with IMO. Ur like the artist who is given 1 color but paints something worth millions? Please continue on? 🎥🎞📽🎬

The only problem with these short horror films is that they end at the most crucial time in the plot. This horror short raised the BP a few points. Excellent subject for a horror movie. I put this one ahead of just about most of the ones I've watched so far.
