If only the video was a couple minutes longer! Was looking forward to seeing Bogota. LOVE this channel and all the intricate details you give about the daily operations. Thats what sets it apart. I'm always learning so much. Thank you for the effort you put into these!
(14:40) wow to me these runway light are just gorgeous! They bring comfort that these lights tell you can land right here! Thanks Captain, but I wanted to point out that during acceleration and take off, the captain and first officer also talk to each other about the aircraft’s behavior, speeds the aircraft has reached, the speed at which the aircraft takes off, I think this is V1, V2, something like that, and when the landing gear is retracted after positive climb is confirmed. Great video as usual. 👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇
Great question! The takeoff speed of any jet is influenced by several factors: -Aircraft weight -Runway length -Airport Elevation -Temperature -Wind Conditions A typical takeoff speed of a 737 is 160 to 185 mph.
Great question… the rate of climb varies depending on the aircraft weight and altitude. At the lower altitudes a passenger jet will climb at around 3,000 feet per minute up to about 20,000 feet and then you’re looking at a climb rate of around 1,500-2,000 feet per minute above that.
Great question! It depends on the airline and their scheduling rules but normally yes, pilots choose their schedules based on seniority. The more senior the pilot the more choices they have. Unfortunately, lower seniority pilots don’t have the luxury of choosing their schedules.
Excellent video! Great to see the process from pushback to takeoff!
Thanks for posting , Cap.
That was so great 🥰 Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me excited to fly somewhere else.
You do what you love, and love what you do,right ? And I love your videos ! Thank you Captain! ❤
Absolutely!!! Thank you for watching!!
That was awesome!! I would watch this over & over !! Thank you. It was so informative & interesting. 🙂
Thank you and thanks for watching!!!

Check out my other videos. There’s one of us landing on runway 32R in Bogotá. Great views of the city 😊

Stay tuned for a video where I talk about exactly that!! 😊
Wow, imagine if you had to do all these checks on your car before pulling out of your driveway!
What is the average takeoff speed in mph for a plane comparable to a 737?

What's the normal rate of climb for passenger jets ??

Hi can pilots choose routes? 14:20
