Regarding the conversation on mental illness, and medical/health problems effecting mensturating people- there's a really good book called the Sociology of Mental Health and Illness, the chapter 'Gender sexuality and mental health' is really interesting and for me it shed a whole new light on mental health from a feminist perspective. It discusses how some problems faced by women are over pathologized and largely disregarded, ignored or not seen as important, which leads to diagnoses which may be misplaced. Not sure if I'm explaining it well but would highly recommend :)
