It's heavily implied that the Blackstone Fortresses were built by the ancient Eldar, after the War in Heaven, and were based on Old One technology designed specifically to kill C'tan.
not quite accurate legends say comrade Vladimir Pikalov once killed a C'tan that was emerging from chernobyl as a result of a previously unheard of radiation phenomenon.

Or even better question- what if Alpharius remained loyal to Imperium, and Omegon decided to joing Chaos, is there any possibilities that Alpha Legion was divided on two parts- one is loyal to Emperor, and another are heretics? This theory would prove the unstable information about their legion and their Primarchs)) Hydra Dominatus!!!
Read the heresy books you find out they remained loyal by falling to chaos. They believed the emperor when he said he didn't want to be a god so they saw falling as the only way to prevent it. I know circular logic and it failed anyways but in the first book dealing with them as the main legion Omegon and Alpharius have this exact conversation.
Man there's so much godamn retcon'ing in Warhammer40k, a lot of it to the worse like titan-sizes, the c'tan and the blackstone-fortresses. Basically the original idea of the fortresses were that once all 12 would be powered up, they'd be able to *literally* destroy the warp and kill all life that had a connection to it. The C'tan were to basically murder the chaos gods and almost all sentient life in the galaxy. However the warp-entities spread to fast, basically forcing the C'tan to go slumber, the Old Ones to flee the galaxy and for all sentient life to almost die out anyway. Only the warp was still left intact, the fortresses dormant. The reason why this is much more interesting is that the original necro/C'tan lore makes them be entropy personified, even Chaos feared them, they were the end of all things, the heatdeath, inescapable even for the vain gods, now they've been retconned into tomb-kings in space.
I grew up in the 90's, I still have white-dwarf's from 91 and forward when necrons had 2 units, this is the original lore of them. Orks back then weren't mushrooms either, they had "mates" to reproduce.
The ancient one, is a bioship that maintain the hive mind connection but actually only the necrons have prov themselves capable of destroying such ships because they are deeply inside a big fleet of tyranids bioships
Hey Gursh- thanks for the video- and for your opinions/viewpoints. I always enjoy listening to what you have to say, and this video was really good- thanks again for keeping it so interesting!
The blackstone is said to be some kind of alloy or metal that can be harvested, (given enough time, effort, knowledge, and capability) but my idea is that there is some kind of process to actually create this material. They made at least 7 of these things and they dwarfed a Deathstar so they had plenty of material to work with. It couldn’t have been too difficult to synthesize this material. I believe this is Old One technology and I believe there is an Old One who still knows either how to create this technology, or knows of all the dormant blackstone fortresses just waiting to be discovered.
The old ones last stand is likely in the segmentum where the 6 Blackstone fortresses are, the necrons decimated the old ones, the enslaver plague finished off the rest.
Where does the info on the central chamber being easily 100 Terran miles across? Is there an accurate measure to the Blackstone's overall dimensions? I have repeated trawled web for info on the size of the Blackstone Fortress, with unsatisfactory results.

What do the red eye's on Horus's power armor mean? The look like deamon eyes... has this got anything to do with the speculation that the god emperor is a demon?
I get the impression they predate the Eldar. If I remember correctly didn't the C'tan say to the necrontier that the Old Ones defeated them before? Maybe the Blackstone Fortresses was how they did it? My money is on the Old Ones building them.
Yes,the Orks did by finding Tyranids that were not linked to the Hive mind and they became the squigz. Later on the Hive mind got them but some squigz were still with the Orks.
What if chaos is the old goods. They created us, and we created them. The chaos goods say they existed before time, so I could make sense in the lore. And lose why chaos can control black stone fortresses and why necrons have obelisk aimd at the warp and why want to close it
Guys- I like ur videos, but i have a question- wat if genestealer will absorb DNA of Adeptus Astartes, what are the main changes in ur opinion will be in organism of the tyranid itself? P.S. sry for my disgusting english)))
They would die, the Astartes DNA is toxic by itself, is like a virus, it colonise the cells and mutate them with no way back, that's why marines are high on painkillers most of the time and with hormonal treatment, without those, they would die under pain, so that would be the genestealer fate
