      to an extent he is. but still covering for president chump's "hard working" behavior. maybe that's just cause he's a die-hard re[publican. good to see he was treated fairly on an obviously liberal-leaning show, besides the fact that the president has LIED much more than the press.

    • @andreaskarlsson5251

      To be fair, it was Trump that lied. Sean spoke for Trump. Yes he lied but that IS part of the job and always will be. Now Sean lied more than other secretaries but thats on Trump imo.

    This was a beautiful interview. Kimmel is obviously left, and Spicer is obviously right, but they're able to have a civil discussion. Can we please, as a country, try to understand that neither side is deliberately trying to ruin the world. No one is trying to destroy the country. Everyone wants the US to prosper. We won't agree on everything, but let's try to meet in the middle and stop hating each other.

    • @NoQuarter23
      @NoQuarter23 7 років тому +9

      I doubt history will judge me. I'm no one. I'm a comment on UA-cam. But never mind that.
      Should I fear being judged for this? I welcome judgement. I believe if both sides would stop knee jerk hating the other and try to meet in the middle and be constructive it would be good for the country. And the world. Judge away.

      "neither side is deliberately trying to ruin the world."
      do you still think that, now, at the end of 2018?
      "Everyone wants the US to prosper."
      that was true like 40 yrs ago. it hasn't been true for decades.
      and yeah, this was a good interview. and I'm glad for it. (but there's a reason he got rammed out of the WH: bc spicer is kind of an old school conservative - i.e., hasn't swallowed the up-with-rich-people koolaid - and bc your initial premise that we all want US to prosper is just plain wrong at this point.)
      fwiw, I met Spicer before 2016 and he was funny and scratchy and acerbic. through sheer happenstance, I ended up talking to him (at the time, I dealt w/ teenagers so sarcasm was my main medium of communication) and kinda mocked him and gop for a half hour. he was not only cool about it ... he ran with it. laughed at himself, made gop jokes ... he's a funny guy.
      (his wife is a freaking gem. she's lovely and charming ... and she was egging me on.)
      and then Jan 20 2017 happened to him ...

    "There are some reporters that'd rather be first than right."
    He's right, you know. It's for that reason that I trusted Reuters and Associated Press more than the mainstream media at MSNBC and Fox News. The former actually take their time to investigate and fully flesh out facts. The latter loves to sensationalize and propagandize an agenda from both sides of the spectrum.

      I think it's important to understand where people are coming from and remember their humanity... but at the same time, we can't allow ourselves to let malignant behavior go unchecked simply because people are human. He has actively lied for the presidency and we can't just forget that. On top of that, he is still peddling Trump's decency like it's job to be his hype man, while pitting the blame on the media.
      The man might be a patsy, a stooge, a weak link... he might be a pitiful man who cries himself to sleep at night. But his actions are dangerous and his actions must be condemned.
