My father grew up in the Beal na mBlath area, in the late 20s, 30s and 40s. He spent many years piecing together Collins movements before the ambush and what happened during the ambush itself and afterward.
He would have been very excited about this TV interview.
Just like this man said there were many second and third hand accounts of Collins death, and far far more to it than generally acknowledged.
    .
The gist of all this discussion down through the years was my fathers, asking 3 basic questions:
1..who really was Collins driver. He seemed, according to my father, to have dissappeared, after the ambush. He was ex British army.
    2. Was Collins head wound bigger than it should be from a snipers bullet? Once again my father heard repeatedly from locals, their observations of Collins corpse in the church it wa resting in after the ambush. Cloughduv church visitors, who were ex army, stated that the wound was from a close up, gunshot. According to my father these people were told to be quiet.
    3. Why did Collins body go to Shanakiel hospital? There are questions around who decided this and why, and who were the people inspecting Collins corpse.
The implications are explosive, and tally with what this man says.
On my part I am wondering about Collins views and actions on the setting up of Irelands Central Bank. I suspect that the arrangements around this were far more important to the British than Irelands apparent Independence.
The later setting up of Irelands Central Bank has similarities to how the US FED was set up in Congress. Those details need to be explored in my view and beyond my abilities to research. I recommend reading "the Creature of Jekyll Island", a book which explains the shenanigans behind setting up the US Central Bank aka the FED.
Collins worked in the UK Post Office and then with a Financial house. He very likely knew something about the real workings of these things and may have been pit against forces far greater than the Anti Treaty side.
I suspect that Academics are either unaware of these greater powers, or know better than to clash with them.

Excelent ! Mick lived in the West End of London with his sister until they moved to the East End to be closer to my family he was my dads cousin but he hung out in the GPO working mans club where at that time they had a shooting range then conscription started in 1916 so he went back to Ireland. the head wound yes (i am amongst other things a markesman) i have looked at that story i debth i cant believe it was a IRA man they hadnt hit a thing for an hour , now i have fired thousands of rounds and hit myself twice once in the forehead and once in the back of my hand because if you hit the wrong thing the distorted bullet tries to go back up the barrel it came from there was a small hole in Micks hat band and a large wound behind his ear which just might have been he hit the cart blocking the road and what IRA men there were were running away so it dont sound like one of them did it.

What about Emmet Daltons account, he was sitting next to Collins , surely his account is valid! I dare say Dev was responsible for the fire in 1932, to rewrite history to suit himself! Our modern day Political classes are just as devious and treacherous! 😅

Why didn't they interview him. He was shot by whom nobody knows.

I just watched a video where an IRA man told of Michael Collins death by shot gun. He was in the car along with Barry and heard a shot and Michael Collins dropped down.
Maybe the Jews didn't want it known that Michael Collins leader of IRB was a Jew. Thats fact. He became Catholic when he married Kitty Kirwin.
Actress Dervla Kirwin is related to that family.

Michael collins was a great man but he made the wrong decision to stop and fight at Beal-na-m-Blath. He should have driven through the ambush as quickly as possible
His second mistake was breaking cover and making himself a target. The bullet that killed him was a ricochet so it did not have to be a marksman who fired it.

@@MarkHarrison733 Collins was no traitor. He was put in an impossible position by circumstances and acted in the best interests of the Irish people at
that time. He viewed the treaty as a stepping stone to an eventual republic and history has proven him right.
