Damn, having only climbed water ice, Grade IV looks gnarly... Hoping to get up to Scotland this winter 🤞 How much experience do you guys have? And is that a shelterstone jacket you're climbing in?
Mate I was climbing with has more experience, only seconded last winter and leas first summer route this year, with quite a few more done between. To be fair this was harder than it would be in ideal conditions, soft snow, verglass and snowed up cracks made it much harder to get decent protection, so had to run out parts. First winter lead was Pygmy ridge in November in much better conditions and it seemed much easier. Hopefully get some decent conditions back soon!🤞 Well spotted it is, decent jacket, was pretty cold and wet, so stayed on for the whole climb. Do kinda have my eye on a citadel, they seem the bee’s knee’s!
