My husband is from the Middle East, I’m Latina so you can imagine how different my taste of growing up was to his. I’m so glad i found your page, I am going to try making this tomorrow night. Thank you 🙂
Looks good. Thanks for sharing. Do you have a chicken shawarma recipe? Would love to have one to teach my family. its one of the Lebanese foods, I enjoyed as a child.
Great video thank you. I would love people with a platform like yours to correct the naming of this type of bread… it is not pita bread… it is called Arabic bread 🙏🏻 thank you ❤
And another doubt🙄 I see the bread pieces are pretty crisp and crunchy, but when you add the sauce I guess they should soften up and become like soaked cookies. If you want to eat them hard and crunchy you may want to serve them separately...
As I prefer to serve this right away, the toasted pita doesn't get to that texture of soaked cookies. However, if you're making this to eat later, store the yogurt separate from the other ingredients, especially the fried bread!
@@Feelgoodfoodie thank you for the very swift response. I really liked this recipe and your video. I'm certainly going to try it out. But I don't have pita bread. I was thinking about a possible substitution....any suggestions? You think normal bread would do?
@@Feelgoodfoodie you should make which taste good Sawarma is arabic recipe but malbari sawarma Arabi also like I respect all food but i eat tastey food
@@rajeevkadavil8171 you can make any version of fattah as you wish or you can invent your version also, she is showing authentic lebanese version, you can take it or leave it, but don't force her what to show, its her wish. And also i am Indian and i love lebanese food and i don't think lebanese restaurants are closing in middle east.
Looks so delicious! Im Palestinian so I make hummus fettah but I will definitely try it with chicken. 🙂

Will definitely make this x but just confused with yoghurt added into it so do you eat it warm or chilled?
Yay! I would enjoy it at room temperature/ warm, as the sauce is added after being heated in the sauce pan.
Is whole milk Greek yogurt okay?
Should I serve the yougurt sauce hot or is it served cold?
Serve it warm!
My Lebanese neighbors in abroad used to give me this ....she used to use only butter in this dish

I don't know why to còok yograt
Just to heat it up
I am lebanease but no one i k ow cooks it like that sorry
No Lebanese without Tahini.
Just Chicken Fatteh maybe.
But not Lebanese Fatteh.
Never seen chicken fatteh made that way ever in my life sorry
😂
It is not made like this
There is one Indian restaurant in dubai which make good fatteh
This is not the Indian version of the recipe. This is the Lebanese version that I grew up having. Please respect the differences in recipes by region.
@@Feelgoodfoodie you should make which taste good
Sawarma is arabic recipe but malbari sawarma Arabi also like I respect all food but i eat tastey food
In lebnon sawarma they put less chicken and more salad so Lebanese sawarma is all getting closed in middle East even Lebanese not eating it
Does Lebanese like spicy food u put pepper
