At the end of a meal at a restaurant, who is supposed to pay? In this video, I will teach you some of the traditions we have for paying the bill in North America. Who pays? Hi Emma. Sometimes I see "check" and sometimes "cheque". Wich one is more appropriate?
My rule of thumb is if somebody invites me for dinner and says "I will pay", I let them pay and I leave a good tip. If I invite someone I tell them that I will pay. In a group of three or more people one person pays and the others give him the amount each one consumed. I find more convenient to agree before in order to avoid an embarrasing situation when the check arrives.

In Brazil, most of the times the tip is around 10% and it comes included in the account and, it's not mandatorily!

Very complete theme, Emma... But for Argentina, the only thing missing... Was: "El Paga-dios" when you very slowly go to the door with your date, and then, while the waiter is distracted... Run and run... because neither you nor your date has money.
