  • Things to do in Hawaii: It's been years since I've gone to the swap meet at the Aloha Stadium. It was fun to check out all of the sellers in the area. T-Shirts, used items, and plenty of good food! Coconuts, Empanadas, and 5 for $20 T-Shirts

Nice! I've been to that swap meet a while back...I think 2003 for my sister's high school graduation. I definitely want to hit that swap meet up if I go back because now that I'm older, there's a lot of things I want to try and buy, especially food items. I've got one of those huge glass buoys in my shed right now, and a couple of the really small ones.

Yeah, I was super surprised to see those glass balls there. Also, there used to be a different swap meet at the Kam drive in, but it has since closed. It looks like all of those sellers went to the stadium swap meet. So there's a lot more options to choose from in regards to used items. Some of the good food trucks were there too. Kind of surprised.

Used to go to the drive in swap meet. Then the stadium started theirs so we went there back in the 80s. When we decided to move to the mainland we sold a bunch of stuff at the stadium in 86. I find it amusing as your kid was not impressed about the coconut. Course as a kid living on an island in the pacific, we thrived on coconuts. The best ? The puffy ball inside the coconut. Man, miss that swap meet.

Would like to find some of the Hawaiian T-shirt vendors so I can order from them and have it sent to me. Can't find those type of shirts on the internet.

They have a swap meet at the Aloha Stadium, in the parking lot area. Check with their website though (alohastadium.hawaii.gov/) because they have other events that go on as well.

It’s just a big junk bunch of stalls. There’s no “swapping” done.. cash on the barrel. Every city has a market like this, e.g Paddy’s Market in Sydney, stalls in Kowloon. However, if you miss the former International Marketplace (before they rebuilt it as a satellite Ala Moana), you probably would like to come to the Stadium to buy all your souvenirs for the family back home.
