Omg I LOVE this movie. I've never seen anyone react to this one before. I've been waiting lol. This movie has such a good soundtrack, but The Origin Of Love and Midnight Radio are def my two favorite songs. ❤
Yaaaaay! I have been waiting for this! ❤ 😂 😊 Thank you! I love this movie so much. As you can tell by my username and pic. Lol
The soundtrack is EVERYTHING. I just relate a LOT to Hedwig. This movie is so UNDERRATED. ITS CRIMINAL. ❤
Thank you for the reaction. :) ❤
It started as a band playing CBGs getting the songs together in front of a Live audience. The 1st Hedwig on the stage and then the movie was the great John Cameron Mitchell. This was the road to their plan for a musical in NYC that played for almost 2 yrs. The last person to play Hedwig was Ally Sheedy from the movie "The Breakfast Club". The only person to come close to to was tv and Broadway great Neil Patrick Harris.
Jessie omg! I am so happy you have seen this now! Watching you see this is honestly like a Pride celebration for me personally! 😊🏳🌈🎉 I stumbled onto this film from a library collection when I was in college, and I showed it to all my friends. We had a Hedwig party eventually that was insanely fun. It's worth to go into full gay history research mode with this film! The off-Broadway play in New York was a huge deal in terms of risk and cultural change. John Cameron Mitchell was a big deal on Broadway, and the NY theater scene was like wtf is he doing. The character was prototyped and early bits of the play evolved in drag clubs. The film did not even make back the tiny budget. Yet it's a wildly important film. And now it is actually a Broadway play making bank. The history of who has played Hedwig over the years is so fascinating. I hope every LGBTQ+ person finds this!
To add to this, about a year ago John Cameron Mitchell came out as non-binary.
I own this soundtrack and listen to it often. I love it so much.
Top five favorite movies. So happy to see a reaction
I absolutely luv Hedwig!
if you ever have a chance to see this performed live its always amazing. ive seen it several times with different casts and its always amazing.
Yeah Wig in a Box is an amazing song. Wicked Town is my favorite, though.
