The Five Star Chicken and 7-11 are run by the same company, CP Corporations. That's why they are always together. Originally they do grilled chicken and just have fried chicken resently. You should have tried the chicken breasst roll. It's one of their signature item.
I have had this chicken since I was a child and I am glad they are still selling it as it's tasty and cheap. I will also choose five star chicken over other fast food. And again you make me hungry watching you eating. 😂
From a Thai myself, the more I grow up the more I appreciate the 5Star Chicken. ไก่จ๊อ KaiJor the chicken roll one on stick is very good as a breakfast. KFC end up not compatible with my body somehow orz It used to be of good quality and with a bit better spice, but it the only one that keep drop down lately, perhaps since they establish themselves as one of common comfort food, they slowly reduce their cost. I think you meant "Jiraphan Roast Chicken", right? For Joe, you should try this. In Thailand, the famous roast chicken brand is "Jiraphan", "Khao Suan Kwang", "Rama IX", "Tha Chang" etc. If you find the name like these on the sign board, do not be hesitate to try it!
We are so happy we stumbled on this video. Saw one of these in Pattaya but did not know what it was and they kind of blended in with other carts (this one only sold grilled). Now as soon as we saw this I knew i had to try it. So today after visiting two of the places you covered in previous videos with the other guy we saw a 5 Star (also feet from a KFC) so grabbed yet more food to nibble on in hotel. First taste i had of the drumstick we knew we made the right choice. I just could not find that de boned thigh you showed. Might not have been in stock

In Thailand, most waiters don’t keep tips. It’s because usually most customers don’t give tips to waiters. So they will feel considerate if someone give tips to them. 😊
Most of us will give tips to waiters but Five Star Chicken are franchise and it not her own business so she need to give back the changes. Also if you really want to give her you should give her after she give you back change.

I love 5 Start. There is a lot local pack of five dogs that are very territorial to the truck I frequent. Any other dogs come near the truck a small war breaks out. I always get the crispy chicken chopped.
To tell you the truth, I miss my childhood version of the Five Star Chicken. I mean, every FSC location used to have a big glass showcase that inside was a griller with a dozen chickens rotating all day. I remember seeing rotisserie-style chicken makes my mouth water every time I drove passed FSC locations. But Five Star Chicken nowadays has become a typical fast food restaurant where most of the food items they offer were precooked from a factory somewhere just to save the cost of production. That's the reason why they lack the charm they once had.
It remind me about my dad. He usually buy 5 starts chicken for dinner. Now he passed away. I miss him and that normal happiness time when I eat 5 starts chicken.
For any foreigner, try Chester's Grill, the same owner of Five Star but bit more fancy with proper dining space, found in most department store. The boneless chicken is the best.
This is my favorite brand. I've been eating this my whole life. the classic one never changes. And Thai KFC is the best comparing to where I ate before, in US, Japan, and Australia.

Fun fact: Five star chicken is everywhere here in Bangalore, India. Its the best fried chicken available here, flavorful and spicy. KFC in India is super bland compared to it.

My absolute favorite as long as I remember and I am almost 40 years old. I love their original grilled chicken, the only menu back then before additional fancy menus they have now. I recommend grilled breast chicken (with sugar cane smoke?) perfect taste with low low fat.

Dear Joe, you should know this original recipe was not made by chicken. The original one is "Hoi Jor", which is made by crab meat. I recommend you to try the real "Hoi Jor" at any good Chinese-Thai restuarant. Imagine when you change the texture of chicken to crab meat, and eat it with original Cherry Blossom sauce (sweet and a little sour), it is the heaven on earth!!!
Five star chicken is my favourite, especially when eat grilled chicken with sticky rice. But I recommend u try the fish sauce fried chicken which is very delicious. In Thai we call it "Kai tod Nam pla". It is the most popular dish of five star chicken.
5 Star chicken is one of those thing that you can probably do it at home but the restaurant do it so much better and without having to deal with cleaning up half the kitchen. I love their grilled chicken.
@@hungrytoexplore You did it. Kai jor is the one that you've already eaten and another one is Spicy Kai jor (the orange one). Its original is Chinese food called "Hoi jor" that made from crab meat mixed with lard and flour then wrap with tofu skin.
After 2 months in Thailand, the best crispy chicken we loved was from McDonald's near the Asok BTS station! Was awesome. I believe 2 pcs was about 119 Bhat.

I was born in Thailand Thailand is the land of food. You can eat delicious food no matter where you walk. KFC in Thailand has outstandingly good taste. But that's not the only one. There are many delicious things. Thai people are warm people. And I'm glad you seem to like it. In addition to great taste They are also cheap and fresh. Drinking water costs $1.5 in the US. You can eat 1 meal in Thailand with free drinking water. However, I recommend to stay away from famous cities. This is because people in Bangkok and Pattaya tend to cheat you a lot, especially when you are a westerner.
I have been growing up by eating 5-star chicken but I have to say this tbh, I'm not familiar with eating roasted chicken alone without sweet chili sauce & amount of sauce they provide never be enough haha.
I first entered Thailand in 1984, the same year 5 Star Chicken started, and have been living here full time since 2006. The first time I ever had 5 Star was around 2008 or 9....compliments my step father!!!! Of course I had seen the booths all over but just had never been to one. My mum and my stepfather were visiting and we were at some local markets in Uttaradit. He said to me that he'd like to have some roast chicken and I said I don't think they have roast chicken here (me knowing everything about Thailand and him just a tourist)......he said "We just passed a place selling it on the walk from the car"......and thus, embarrassed me, came to sample 5 Star Chicken!!!! And Enjoy 5 Star Chicken!
5 stars always trump KFC in my mind, their chickens are amazing, their sauces are superb, the chicken stick is super filling and savory. everytime i see 5 stars i always order that chicken stick. the roasted chicken breast is also very nice.
Dude still called Tesco Lotus...me too, even though they left. When I was a kid, 5 stars used to be a treat at the weekend, now they are a whole meal. I like half roasted spicy chicken and 1 bottle of spicy BBQ sauce.

My absolute favorite as long as I remember and I am almost 40 years old. I love their original grilled chicken, the only menu back then before additional fancy menus they have now. I recommend grilled breast chicken (with sugar cane smoke?) perfect taste with low low fat.

Dear Joe, you should know this original recipe was not made by chicken.
The original one is "Hoi Jor", which is made by crab meat.
I recommend you to try the real "Hoi Jor" at any good Chinese-Thai restuarant.
Imagine when you change the texture of chicken to crab meat, and eat it with original Cherry Blossom sauce (sweet and a little sour), it is the heaven on earth!!!

Five star chicken is my favourite, especially when eat grilled chicken with sticky rice. But I recommend u try the fish sauce fried chicken which is very delicious. In Thai we call it "Kai tod Nam pla". It is the most popular dish of five star chicken.

5 Star chicken is one of those thing that you can probably do it at home but the restaurant do it so much better and without having to deal with cleaning up half the kitchen. I love their grilled chicken.

Thats original chicken rolls is call"Hoi jor"or"Kai jor"if made with chicken ,they serve it with the plum sauce.

@@hungrytoexplore You did it. Kai jor is the one that you've already eaten and another one is Spicy Kai jor (the orange one). Its original is Chinese food called "Hoi jor" that made from crab meat mixed with lard and flour then wrap with tofu skin.

After 2 months in Thailand, the best crispy chicken we loved was from McDonald's near the Asok BTS station! Was awesome. I believe 2 pcs was about 119 Bhat.

I was born in Thailand Thailand is the land of food. You can eat delicious food no matter where you walk. KFC in Thailand has outstandingly good taste. But that's not the only one. There are many delicious things. Thai people are warm people. And I'm glad you seem to like it. In addition to great taste They are also cheap and fresh. Drinking water costs $1.5 in the US. You can eat 1 meal in Thailand with free drinking water. However, I recommend to stay away from famous cities. This is because people in Bangkok and Pattaya tend to cheat you a lot, especially when you are a westerner.

I have been growing up by eating 5-star chicken but I have to say this tbh, I'm not familiar with eating roasted chicken alone without sweet chili sauce & amount of sauce they provide never be enough haha.

For the crispy chicken there is a sauce they give which is ketchup mix with chillie sauce and it’s super tasty you should try it

I first entered Thailand in 1984, the same year 5 Star Chicken started, and have been living here full time since 2006.
The first time I ever had 5 Star was around 2008 or 9....compliments my step father!!!!
Of course I had seen the booths all over but just had never been to one.
My mum and my stepfather were visiting and we were at some local markets in Uttaradit. He said to me that he'd like to have some roast chicken and I said I don't think they have roast chicken here (me knowing everything about Thailand and him just a tourist)......he said "We just passed a place selling it on the walk from the car"......and thus, embarrassed me, came to sample 5 Star Chicken!!!! And Enjoy 5 Star Chicken!

5 stars always trump KFC in my mind, their chickens are amazing, their sauces are superb, the chicken stick is super filling and savory. everytime i see 5 stars i always order that chicken stick. the roasted chicken breast is also very nice.

When I was a kid, 5 stars used to be a treat at the weekend, now they are a whole meal. I like half roasted spicy chicken and 1 bottle of spicy BBQ sauce.
