Great job, Jack. I would've instantly react to a damaged condensor and changed it for nothing. Proper tools and dye to diagnose never fail.

The customer kept telling me his compressor was bad, so I went into the job with that assumption… I honestly thought I was going to end up replacing the whole system but luckily for him it ended up being something simple and a whole lot less expensive.

It really depends on the shop and the area. Here we charge $229 for the evacuate and recharge with freon and it comes with a warranty so if there happens to be another leak that we didn’t see, we’ll refill the freon for up to a year as long as the customer lets us repair the leak. But every shop is different.
