As far as I get it ; protons are pumped from the mitochondrial matrix to the mitochondrial inter membrane space UPGRADIENTLY through complexes I , III & IV . The energy produced through the electron transport chain causes conformational changes in the complexes to allow the passage of protons outwards UPGRADIENTLY . Lord knows best .
I'm sorry to say that at this time I teach biochemistry mainly metabolism. I may consider doing video on lac operon in near future. Thanks for the video request.
