Been using CP for a bit and never have used the record feature before, glad to know what it does. I have been plowing the field first, and then rolling the tractor into the new field, and let the auto generation make the field boundary. Although I do tend to try and mow the area that I want to plow before hand to see if there is any oddness with the area before making it a field.
How do you accommodate different sized implements? Are you defining the actual field boundary or will the tractor always line up on the course line and the implement will be off the edge of the field?
This is creating the Field Once the field is created you can then use Course play to make a Custom Run for Harvesting, Ploughing Ect Ect using said implement going by the boundary of the Field Created Via the Custom Field you created. The Size of the Impliment you have will be taken into account for the Splines created and the width between each run

I have a question for you FSG. You made a custom field by just drive the tractor around the course. I noticed that the Large Cultivator worked perhaps 6m outside of the waypoints. This of course would be an issue if the course was created alongside a hard break (Hedge, River, etc.) Collisions would be terrible. So, I believe the course that you created should have had an offset of -6m (for example), so the cultivator would stay within the confines of the field. Every other implement would like wise have to have the appropriate offset accounted for. I have had to do this and it get’s rather old, as we do not need to do this for the Standard CP fields. Am I doing something wrong. Oh thanks for the EDITING Tips, Very much appreciated.

Does this work if I want to section off part of an exhisting field? I can make the course, but when I generate a job it does it for the entire field, not just the sction I've just created.
If its not too much effort i really prefer using VCA at this stage but struggle to understand the invert offset option when using tools that hang off the side etc :( this so far the most confusing bit for me in the headland management settings has been the following the boundary or "processed area options" always end up going in circles haha @@TheFarmSimGuy

Yeah, I messed up a bit there, the best thing to do is not to have your start point in a corner of a field, better to do it half way along a straight edge to avoid that issue 👍

Yes you can! just paint over the area you don't want to be included in the course (in the landscape mode) and make sure islands selected when you generate your course

Hey FG. So I merged 2 fields into one using Courseplay and renamed it but is there any way to get of the the 2 original field numbers? When i click on them i don't get any options. Is it possible to do it by editing the XML files and if so how? Thanks
No you can’t do it in game, it’s quite a big job and you’d need to do it in Giants editor and resdraw the field boundaries to be one field, then edit the XML to remove one of the original fields and assign just one number to it
@ when I do that, it asks if I want to save it as a custom field when I unclick the record button… if I click yes it saves it as a field, if I click no the track disappears…? In fs19 I used to use course play to make a single track of my mower going around all the edges of my fields and then have the forage wagon follow the same track and getting all my mowing done. Can’t figure out how to make a single track in course play anymore.

@@TheFarmSimGuyunfortunately this option won't help me as the game refuses to deck the island, I was hoping that if I could create my own field boundaries I would be able to work around this problem.
You could make your border before cutting them down (I did cut them down off camera) so you know which ones are in and which ones are out of the boundary

Control and finesse! You are seriously overestimating at least one of your subscribers there but hey, I'm just a simple man living a simple life. Ooh, I didn't know you could delete custom fields so I'm off to finesse my No Man's Land map and rid myself of those annoying fields in the map view on later play throughs. maybe I'm not that simple after all.

Question, how do i pull up CoursePlay HUD? The key bindings menu says "delete", but nothing happens when i do that
Delete is what I use, check you haven’t got the console friendly HUD option switched on in the settings

i want to race tractors using the course recording option. I want to set each on a separate course side by side. Can I set this up somehow?
You would probably find Autodrive a better option for this, set individual courses up al let them go

Yes you just need to select the custom field rather than the whole field
so how do u make it go around objects that are in the field? i cant seem to get that to work
If you set a browser, when you crate the course it should detect any islands in the field

How do you use the track as a track and not as a custom field outline?
You would create a normal track for that, so just drive to where you want to go to dropping markers where you would want to stop and unload

That would be picked up when you create a course you would need to have island mode on

There are, you could use, Guidance Steering, Vehicle Control Addon or Enhanced Vehicle mod

Why does my game crash when i try to load my course
could be many factors, possibly if it's a very odd shaped field, depending on the settings you put in, it can't calcuate a course

Courseplay is not recognizing my field. its 100% outlined yet if i generate a course it generates a course for way more land than i want.
