Toronto & Canada Loves Vince Carter... We've always loved him... Even when he was getting Boooed and the perception was that Toronto hated him... The truth was that We hated that Vince Carter was gone... Vince Carter will always be a Raptor 4 Life... Should've never been traded... I believe his Jersey # will be the 1st Raptor retired at the ACC.... It was a special time when Vince was here... He's done more for Canadian basketball than he'll ever know... He was also the most exciting player in the NBA and led NBA ALL Star voting for multiple years... No Slam Dunk contest has come close to the show Vince put on.... I can't see him entering the HOF as anything but a Raptor.... I hope he feels the same.... Thx for all the amazing memories and contributions.... Much Luv from a Toronto fan of yours

I loved this so much. It got me so emotional, brought back a lot of memories. I know it helped a lot of Raptor fans (even the stubborn ones) find some closure. Yeah we were all heartbroken and upset when VC left, but I never really held any ill will against him especially since we didn't know the full story of what went down. I'm not one for grudges. I will always love this guy and every damn thing he did for this city. He deserves much more respect.

    I love you Vince.
You are the reason why I started following the Raptors, and still do till this day.
I wasn't mad that you left, I was just sad.
Now that times have passed and wounds are healed, I have nothing left but respect and good memories.
I hope Masai can bring you in this off season so that you can hang your jersey on your way out.

As much as it has hurt me and millions of Toronto fans. I feel like we as a city need to appreciate what the
guy did for us. Hell leave the city...so what? its because of him leaving it hurts so much knowing what
hes capable of, what hes done for this city, and making millions of NBA fans realize Toronto is a force to be
reckoned with. With all that being said, no matter what the guy did or believed, I'll always be a Vince Carter fan.
Whether he retires somewhere else, or here in Toronto, I'll always appreciate and love what he
    represented for Toronto Basketball.
Thank You Vince for putting us on the map. Long live the Dunk Machine :)

People ask how Toronto still boos him but as a person from Toronto it's just a cry for help. I've been to a few VC games most recently last year when Dallas were in town. I ask everyone around me if they would have VC back and they all say of course. Deep down Toronto loves VC. He's our Michael Jordan.

VC was frustrated in his last couple of seasons in Toronto because of injuries and not being able to play, then they traded him when he didn't want to trade which I reckon made him angry at Toronto which is reasonable. So y'all need to start respecting Vince because he is a legend and you need to recognise that.

Vince was the sole reason I became an nba fan. That raptor team was a true sight to be seen. I was salty the first two years he left but for the past 8 years I have been rooting for him because he did so much for toronto and vince and t mac are the only superstars weve ever had. I hope we resign him for one last ride next year he is our only chance of a raptor making the hall of fame in the next 20 years. Raptor fans who boo him are not really fans vinsanity will. I truly hope he returns to the Toronto Raptors. Great to see in this doc all the VC15 raptors jerseys returning to Air Canada Center. Only reason most people knew about the Toronto Raptors was because of him and that seems to be a worldwide thing. Everyone knows there was controversy over the entire situation with vince and the organisation. But i mean that was a long time ago and when i say that i mean a couple of YEARS ago. Don't hate the best piece of history the raptors have. Embrace the guy. He's made people worldwide wanna support the Toronto Raptors and in doing so also putting the city on the map entirely.
VC for raptors return! Like if you agree.

And I really wish some Raptors fans would stop being so childish and finally give this guy the respect he deserves. 10. Damn. Years. Let bygones be bygones! I know he's gonna be a free agent this summer and nearing the end of his career. My perfect fairytale ending would be him signing back with the Raptors for his final years.. I know it's not really gonna be Vinsanity all over again cause he's definitely not getting any younger lol, but regardless. Then retire his jersey. Vince Carter is a legend and deserves to be treated as such.

  • @cwash555
    @cwash555 11 років тому +1

Being from California I don't know much about the Raptors, or why VC left. I do know that most when asked their first thought about the Raptors would say Vince Carter. Whether he was lazy in the end or not he put the Raptors on the map, may not have been from winning games, but his constant highlights. It has been ten years (I think) since he left, and I think it is safe to say he is the best to put on the Raps uniform until this point. I would let him come back to retire a Raptor.

Vince is my man. He's balling up in Dallas. Retire his number. Bring him back if we can. If he wants to come back. I want to celebrate Vince. He's a consummate athlete and professional. I know the narrative is he left and abandoned Toronto, and whatever, maybe he did. Maybe he hated the ownership. Maybe it was a rough time back then. Maybe the ownership gave up on Vince and he knew it and it sapped his motivation. It doesn't matter anymore.
The man is Air Canada. Retire his damn number in the ACC and let the country celebrate the whirlwind half decade of Vinsanity.

The Toronto Raptors franchise literally would not even exist today if Vince Carter never played for them. I would leave a franchise too if the management kept promising to acquire better players for the team but never made moves year after year. Hopefully Dallas resigns him this off-season because we love VC down here!

Vince Carter was practically a superstar on the Nets but after that he declined.

I love VC but the first jersey to be retired is going to be Lowry's or Derozens!! Chris Bosh, VC, Tmac all left once they got in their primes! Derozen gave the raptors franchise some hope! Really hope he can bring a championship to this city one day!

Why cant Raptor fans get over the mistakes he made in his last years with Toronto. He clearly loved playing for Toronto but sometimes it doesn't work out. It bothers me that you fans all attack his character and him as a person because he made some mistakes. Vince is my all time favorite player and one of the reasons is because he is a great person as far as I know. Im not saying he is perfect cause yes and well aware of what happened in Toronto but its time to move on. Plus you guys are killing your credibility when you Boo Rudy Gay as if he did something to you guys. Shit show some respect to your former players.

Guys I want to reveal the secret of the raptors winning streak, I was working in a lab back in 2000 when they took the powers of Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter, I was going to reveal it to the public but I got thrown in Jail for years when I finally ran away from there and came home I took the remote and turned to the Raptors Game and noticed something extrodinary Raptors are first in the East Conference, I believe what happened with the powers of Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter is that they turned it into Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan, they couldn't replicate they way they looked but they definitely got their powers #DemarDerozan #KyleLowry is the new Vince and Tracy

+Ahmad Omari FTR the only thing Demar did better than T Mac. Is that Demar has a better work ethics. Thats why his career has gone further with relatively no injures..lol. Works hard in the gym to limit his injures. Something T Mac & Carter never did. But T Mac & Carter had far less help in their playing days. When they went off to different teams. In their prime & 100% injury free. T-Mac & Carter were far better in skills. Speed, strength & athleticism. Both Carter & T-Mac had on Demar. Also both size, height & wingspan alone Carter & T-Mac were better. And in defense both were better than Demar. Demar still struggles shooting 3s. Both are more clutch than Demar as well. Also both were better passers. And could play team Ball. Demar does alot of Iso plays. A bit too much at times.
