Sometimes I have trouble formulating my words whenever Dimash opens his mouth to sing. This is one of those times. His voice transcends all musical boundaries. C2 was his lowest note in this song: a beautiful and rich bass voice. F6 was his highest note; that's a Queen of the Night note. This song spans over 4 octaves. Incredible. Btw, I’ve seen some comments where they said the lyrics are about refugees. But, I think, like all Dimash songs, the concept can be applied to any situation, where you could feel mentally or spiritually like a refugee, a stranger in a stranger’s land.

IN ADDITION TO THIS BEING SO CINEMATIC, EPIC AND POWERFUL....WHAT I LOVE ABOUT DIMASH'S SINGING IS THAT EVERY LEVEL OF HIS VOICE LOW TO HIGH, LIGHT TO POWERFUL JUST FLOATS OUT ON A CUSHION OF AIR....so many singers it's forced, squeezed, pinched, strained, screamed out...u almost worry for them, can they hit that high note?.....but at every level of DQ's voice it just rides on a a great wind of air like a surfer riding a wave. With this performance he has improved, which I thought he was at his pinnacle, like how do you improve on absolute jaw dropping perfection. But God almighty if this man/boy hasn't increased his range in the low register, created even more crystal clear resonance in his top range, AND THAT LAST NOTE, I HAVE NEVER HEARD THAT SOUND FROM HIM....MORE LASER BEAM, MORE PIERCING, MORE ROCKETING POWER THAN EVER BEFORE. He is literally a vocal contortionist, bending and flexing his voice and his breath, taking us from below ground to the attic in under a minute, it is other worldly! And that last note is almost 20 seconds long, with vibrato! Yes, sustain!!! Great reaction!

Well, actually you heard Dimash go to lower notes, but thouse were just short moment of course. Here he showed that he extender his lower register from F2/A2 to C#2!!! Crazy chills are everywhere in my room!!
I'm freaked out about his vocals! Coming from a stone cold rocker chick for decades, this normally wouldn't be sthg I would be interested in. But this kid is beyond mind blowing and a freak of nature if you will. He makes me cry!
When you said like a movie, my thought when I first heard this song was a useless philandering modern man gets transported back to ancient China and thru trials and tribulations, becomes a fierce martial arts warrior master, fighting for his country and his beloved. This would be the theme song.

The tandem of Igor Krutoy (piano) and Dimash Qudaibergen (voice) with the best Kobys player in the world Olzhas Qurmanbek, have presented a new, really unique song in English with enchanting oriental melodies.
The idea to add kobyz to the new song came to Dimash after he first heard the melody "Stranger". He decided that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exciting sound. The performer of the kobyz part is Olzhas Kurmanbek.
The music was created by Russian song-writer Igor Krutoy (musictitan, billionaire), and the lyrics were written by American poetess Sharon Vaughn. The main arrangement was made by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan).

Brad, I think he has, with a great deal of deliberate hard work, expanded his range that far downward! It's amazing--And it sounds so good! It's not just vocal fry, it's actually singing at that level. I like it so much! He works so hard for us, and I hope he gets lots of appreciative responses. This song is truly epic. He and Krutoy must have been working on this for months.
