Let me know who you think I should interview next! Watch next: A Day in the Life of a Rugby Commentator | England Vs Ireland at Twickenham!! - ua-cam.com/video/ZZp09EdLDBE/v-deo.html
Love Claud ❤ My first live Red Roses game was v USA at Sandy Park and I think Claud was POM. She’s the reason I’ve been a Chiefs fan since. Missed her a lot this year. Hope she can get back to 100% for next year, if not before. Would love to see you have a chat with Hope Rogers sometime
@@KatMerchant Jess Breach is no slouch, but I think Claud’s experience at 9 gives her more tools - like the vision, being able to spot a gap and go for it, coming off her wing to challenge the line and then nail the pass that unlocks the defence. Dancing through the Canadians at the World Cup to find Abby Dow in space - no one else could’ve pulled that off 🌹
Sadly Claudia MacDonald's reward for her part in Abby Dow's wonder try was to be relegated to the bench for the final, a decision that effectively cost England the World Cup with her replacement getting herself sent off early in the game.
@@pljms Agree that Claudia is awesome but Lydia Thompson was Englands most experienced winger who had previously out paced Portia Woodman and her defensive game is normally spot on. You'd be hard pushed not to start her in a world cup final vs NZ. The card was unfortunate and Lydia's first ever card. Sadly these things happen.
The pair of you mentioned one or two individuals who went many, many matches before eventually experiencing defeat in an England shirt, but believe it or not Jess Breach has still yet to be on the losing side after thirty-eight appearances for the Red Roses. With forty tries for England her record is better than a try a game so she'd be my suggestion as a great rugby person to interview.
Great chat. I'm a big fan of Claudia (both at wing and scrum half) and wish her well with her recovery.
Great interview
A quality winger, her at 11, Dow at 14 and Kikdunne at 15 is our most dangerous backline in my eyes
