For example, Lily in GOT7's If You Do. It's an experience and trust thing. It gives the trainees camera experience- and professional dance experience as well, if they're acting as backup dancer in the video- and also shows the company's trust in that trainee to allow them to do this. Another example, if I remember correctly, a few BTS member's were in a G.O.D video prior to debut. Or maybe a different senior not too sure but yeah

Believe it or not, twice probably has the biggest male fanbase out of any girl group. When you watch their comeback stages, you hear mostly male voices doing the fan chants
they used to but i also feel it’s gotten more balanced over the years. there’s definitely other ggs with a higher percentage of male fans (i’m pretty sure there was actual stats about percentages of male/female fans of ggs that were being posted on twitter before)

TWICE started their concept as bubblegum pop(?) and changes through time. Now they're trying to experiment and into more mature ones since they're not teens anymore though they still have upbeat and happy songs. I guess they're just naturally charming people that's why kpop and non-kpop fans always say they're cute.

She is the sweetest funniest girl ❤ She did go on a break due to health reasons, and got backlash after coming back and gaining weight (which is only natural when taking meds and being on a break..) so it's always nice seeing her get love! Also you nicely pointed out the main dancer's skills in I can't stop me - Momo with the nice bob! The powerful adlibs are mostly done by Jihyo the leader and Nayeon, Jeongyeon's vocals are also powerful but very underrated..

TWICE can be an intimidating group to get into at first because they have so many members, but I think you got the right idea. Pick one, stick with her, then slowly you get to know the others through your fav. What's crazy is how I got into TWICE. It wasn't their music, stages, or MVs but it was an online show they have called TIME TO TWICE. I believe my first episode was their camping one. Basically it's just them being themselves and having fun and I just sort of get to know and love their personalities. Once I started liking them as people, then all of a sudden their MVs felt more special and amazing (if that makes any sense). Like you, TWICE wouldn't have been my cup of tea going in. They don't make complex music and they aren't revolutionizing the world... but they're fun. There's nothing wrong with enjoy just uncomplicated fun songs. If I want deep and complex, I'll listen to (G)I-DLE. If I just want to dance, I'll put on TWICE.
I actually became a kpop fan because of them, but became a once much later, like a few months before they announced that they'll come to Germany. I really loved their music when they got me into kpop, but being pretty new to kpop, I first stuck with BLACKPINK, because they were 4, and it was just easier, but now Twice are my faves, and I love them so much. I wish, I wouldn't have been so intimidated to learn their names and personalities at first, but yeah. At least now, I can be a real Once and enjoy the time with them. Their music always made me happy, but in addition to that now, they as people make me happy as well after becoming a once.
This is exactly how I fell in love with them. I seen their personalities first and then heard a song that I enjoyed that I eventually realized was twice and then fell in love with their entire discography shortly after. I wouldn’t be into kpop if it wasn’t for twice. Seeing their personalities really made all their hard work and music much more special and enjoyable. I even cried watching their debut video seeing how far they’ve come😂.

Twice have been in the industry for 8 years now and have escaped the all too feared K-Pop 7 year curse. For discography, it's best to listen to it in release order so you can see there growth thru the years. The Korean releases first, then you can listen to their Japanese tracks next. Then their B-sides to complete the journey. Their name means "Once thru the ears, once thru the eyes" - meaning that these girls will charm you Twice. 🥰
It's not a curse. Idk why are people calling it a curse lmao. There is an explanation for it. It's just that a lot of idols contracts back in the day were for like 10-15 years. After TVXQ sued SM in 2009, korean FTC made some new restrictions - contracts could not be longer than 7 years anymore. When that was added in 2010 many companies put their contracts as 7 years and that's just it... New stuff was added a few years back too regarding entertainers contracts and they apparently now have better contracts...still not great tho.
Don't be too strict/nitpicky on the word play as the word "curse" is indeed used with every passing gen. IRL idol contracts has the life expectancy of 7 years (some groups don't even make it that far) with a few exceptions here and there like Super Junior, SNSD and now Twice, who are still performing, making music and doing Tours past their expected expiry date.

I’m surprised how well you got the music and some of those choreos. Twice music is mainly just music to put you in a good mood. I’d love to watch a part 2 for them (please do cry for me love stage or choreography video 2 and perfect World I love these songs and they’re kind of in the same category as I can’t stop me imo). I’d also love to recommend Dreamcatcher as another group for you to react to. They’re almost the complete opposite of twice but since you’re gonna react to ateez i will say they share some of the same producers and video directors I think So their music might sound similar to each other.
'Like Ooh-Aah' is basically about their music being so good it would bring zombies back to life. Also at the beginning of the m/v Bangchan, Stray Kids' leader, is on the treadmill to the right of Jihyo, Twice's leader. He trained Twice predebut and is really close with Sana.
My take on Ohh-Ahh is that there song is so heartwarming that even the cold beings i.e., Zombies will turn back into warm ones i.e., Alive ones...a bit cheesy but their concept is cute

You had to carefully navigate through all TWICE's songs to choose those that confirm the thesis put forward at the beginning that TWICE are only CUTE. And they have dozens of songs with a mature concept, CRY FOR ME, PERFECT WORLD, TOUCHDOWN, QUEEN OF HEART and many others. It should also be added that they actively participate, unlike bp who are only workers, in the creative process, they have written over 40 songs from their rich discography. They also contribute to the choreography of their performances.
Twice are true artists that write music, write lyrics, come up with concepts and dance movements, etc. They are deeply involved in their craft and they take it DEAD SERIOUS! They work so hard for us!

I got into Twice since "I can't Stop me" and I was able to see them live this year. After visiting about 17 kpop concerts I have to say they were one of the best. Also I think you could like Ateez a boyband with 8 members and their music can be chill and quite "in your face" too. 😅 Seeing them live was insane, insane vocals and dances. But they are EDM genre. Now that I know you like the more mature concepts, you absolutely MUST watch/listen to Moonlight Sunrise, More and More, Cry for Me, Basics, Icon, love foolish, (and many more, but that's a good start), but ALSO you absolutely must watch Misamo "Do not touch" (it is the Twice subunit with Momo, Mina, and Sana which are the 3 Japanese members) the song is sexy af and the video is VISUALZZZZ. and then you gotta watch "Killing me Good" and "Closer" from Jihyos new solo album (she is the leader of the group and the big vocalist you praised many times) those songs are FULL GROWN and absolutely beast mode. She broke all kinds of records with that debut, including being the 2nd female solo kpop artist to EVER break into Billboard top 10 albums!! I swear you will not be let down with these suggestions! Yeah they're really cute and their music is amazing, and honestly their bsides are even better, the members participated more and more in the writing of the bsides over the years. And about their ratio of fanbase, it used to have more male fans but over the years, since they kinda "changed" the concept with Fancy, it has more female fans, especially in the west
The best part about being a TWICE fan is that you get spoiled with content. Their songs alone, including solos and subunits, go beyond 10 hours!! In addition to that, we can watch their own reality show (Twice TV), vlogs (TW-log), variety show (Time To Twice) TikTok challenges, and live streams. The downside is that I often forget how blessed I am😅. God forbid they go on a week without an update and I start freaking out. I need to remind myself that they’re human and need to rest at times.

Now they're trying to experiment and into more mature ones since they're not teens anymore though they still have upbeat and happy songs. TWICE can be an intimidating group to get into at first because they have so many members, but I think you got the right idea. Pick one, stick with her, then slowly you get to know the others through your fav. What's crazy is how I got into TWICE. It wasn't their music, stages, or MVs but it was an online show they have called TIME TO TWICE. I believe my first episode was their camping one. Basically it's just them being themselves and having fun and I just sort of get to know and love their personalities. Once I started liking them as people, then all of a sudden their MVs felt more special and amazing (if that makes any sense). Like you, TWICE wouldn't have been my cup of tea going in. They don't make complex music and they aren't revolutionizing the world... but they're fun. There's nothing wrong with enjoy just uncomplicated fun songs. If I want deep and complex, I'll listen to (G)I-DLE. If I just want to dance, I'll put on TWICE.
I actually became a kpop fan because of them, but became a once much later, like a few months before they announced that they'll come to Germany. I really loved their music when they got me into kpop, but being pretty new to kpop, I first stuck with BLACKPINK, because they were 4, and it was just easier, but now Twice are my faves, and I love them so much. I wish, I wouldn't have been so intimidated to learn their names and personalities at first, but yeah. At least now, I can be a real Once and enjoy the time with them. Their music always made me happy, but in addition to that now, they as people make me happy as well after becoming a once.
This is exactly how I fell in love with them. I seen their personalities first and then heard a song that I enjoyed that I eventually realized was twice and then fell in love with their entire discography shortly after. I wouldn’t be into kpop if it wasn’t for twice. Seeing their personalities really made all their hard work and music much more special and enjoyable. I even cried watching their debut video seeing how far they’ve come😂.

TWICE has been like a happy pill for most of us especially during the pandemic! They have amazing Dance Videos and a kind of sitcom show called “TIME TO TWICE” ! Twice have been in the industry for 8 years now and have escaped the all too feared K-Pop 7 year curse. For discography, it's best to listen to it in release order so you can see there growth thru the years. The Korean releases first, then you can listen to their Japanese tracks next. Then their B-sides to complete the journey. Their name means "Once thru the ears, once thru the eyes" - meaning that these girls will charm you Twice. 🥰
It's not a curse. Idk why are people calling it a curse lmao. There is an explanation for it. It's just that a lot of idols contracts back in the day were for like 10-15 years. After TVXQ sued SM in 2009, korean FTC made some new restrictions - contracts could not be longer than 7 years anymore. When that was added in 2010 many companies put their contracts as 7 years and that's just it...
New stuff was added a few years back too regarding entertainers contracts and they apparently now have better contracts...still not great tho.
Don't be too strict/nitpicky on the word play as the word "curse" is indeed used with every passing gen. IRL idol contracts has the life expectancy of 7 years (some groups don't even make it that far) with a few exceptions here and there like Super Junior, SNSD and now Twice, who are still performing, making music and doing Tours past their expected expiry date.

I’m surprised how well you got the music and some of those choreos. Twice music is mainly just music to put you in a good mood. I’d love to watch a part 2 for them (please do cry for me love stage or choreography video 2 and perfect World I love these songs and they’re kind of in the same category as I can’t stop me imo).

I got into Twice since "I can't Stop me" and I was able to see them live this year. After visiting about 17 kpop concerts I have to say they were one of the best.
Also I think you could like Ateez a boyband with 8 members and their music can be chill and quite "in your face" too. 😅 Seeing them live was insane, insane vocals and dances. But they are EDM genre. I'm glad you like them! Yeah they're really cute and their music is amazing, and honestly their bsides are even better, the members participated more and more in the writing of the bsides over the years. And about their ratio of fanbase, it used to have more male fans but over the years, since they kinda "changed" the concept with Fancy, it has more female fans, especially in the west
The best part about being a TWICE fan is that you get spoiled with content. Their songs alone, including solos and subunits, go beyond 10 hours!! In addition to that, we can watch their own reality show (Twice TV), vlogs (TW-log), variety show (Time To Twice) TikTok challenges, and live streams.
The downside is that I often forget how blessed I am😅. God forbid they go on a week without an update and I start freaking out. I need to remind myself that they’re human and need to rest at times.
