- The controversial decision affords communities across the country the power to ban people from sleeping or camping in public spaces.
Youve been living this way since 19 and ur 24. so in half a decade you've done nothing to improve ur situation. Why should I? I dont care where you go. I dont care that you struggle. I dont care that ur an addict. You dont care, nor do I.
It is less expensive to house than arrest.
But US Americans love the idea that poor people should get more punishment for being lazy and addicted, they just dont want to see it.
No surprise that it was them who inspired Adolf Hitler to start concentration camps (build after the reservats for native americans).
Land is cheap in Maine. Buy a lot and camp on it all you want. Public parks and other open areas are not free hotels.
Also was that reporter still "social distancing" (made up BS) from the mayor of Portland?
They're not buying the land these people are camping in.
They're taking over public parks with thier garbage, drugs, and junk.
If there's shelter available, there's no reason to stay homeless, except they want their drugs.
The idea to not have any kind of free land is mentally ill. Earth surface ownernship should be banned completely.
The cost of living needs to be addressed. Prayers
Rules keep people safe. If you are not housed, having some structure at a shelter could be good for you while you seek either mental health treatment or for work to better your situation.
What's going on in here. I just came back from several years living in Korea, and someone took a big dump on my porch.
Just because he said that they haven’t arrested anyone don’t mean that is true my thought is that they have already been doing that long before the rules in favor of law 😮criminals and homeless are not the same sad day when my own country has charged me because they don’t make living indoors Affordable anymore😮
"Until he finds permanent housing..." Dude's been homeless since he was 18. Get a clue, lady.
This land is our land, this land is your land...you can't just float away??? Housing security is expensive, education and job security is every city's obligation. $32/HR is enough to afford a house or rent et al. Few make that.
congratulations, these people made being homeless a crime
Nope, they just made it so cities dont have to permit people setting up camp in a public places. Didnt you watch the report?
BEING homeless is just that. A state of being. Setting up camp on public sidewalks and refusing shelter is an act. An illegal act. It's called vagrancy.
Giving a property discount to homeless, and discount for car. Or have tent camps and hire the homeless to clean up.
Most need a discount off 99% on treatment of their medical/mental conditions.
Omg what does that mean what’s wrong with people!!! Supreme Court needs to be replaced. We’re suppose to take care of each other
Letting people panhandle and camp and do drugs in public is not caring for them

No problem, just let the homeless people move into your house.
