the paint scheme ..... hands down the best
So 80’s ... makes me think about the Gulf theme tbh
I agree looks sexy
Same colors as the Bmw scheme
I thought it was bmw
Reminds me of my CB1100F back in the 80s
This colours are perfect for Honda. 10/10.
That colour scheme is doing it for me.. Making it almost feel like a cafe racer on my uneducated eyes..
Honda would sell double the units if they offer that paint scheme along with the rear seat cowl and wind deflector. Looks awesome!
I had a gen 1 cb1000r for couple years when Honda published it. Easiest bike to wheelie ever with really even torque cross wide range of rpm and really good city bike. Ended up getting zx-10r after it since it was really lacking on ground clearance and suspension was bit soft even after some tuning. But fun street bike!
Sad to see none knows u here, glad to know u ride man
I read this with a Finnish accent.
That paint is GREAT.
Looks like old 80s race paint jobs.
Single side swingarm. I am in.
I had an 1984 CB900F Supersport bored out, straight bars etc... lived the set up on it. Was sweet ride.
Probably because I’m a terrible Yank, but I think the paint job is awesome!🇺🇸
And the bike is even better.💯🏍. Great review mate👍🏼
I have a 2019 in red, it's beautiful. Has the big stock exhaust on it. The system on this one is what I'm upgrading too. The exhaust is the only thing I think needs changed, nothing else to take issue with. Excellent bike👍
Just beautiful. Great camerawork and editing - cheers!
Much appreciated TMG!
What a beautiful motorcycle! Best paint job i have seen, makes it stand out.
7:28 This man speaks the truth...it's a motorcycle, of course it's going to buzz and vibrate; that's damn near half the point of it
The color reminds me of my childhood when i first saw these bikes. awesome!
I loved this bike too. I agree that paint on this one is a bit lairy. I did my test on a red one and love the candy paint. It'd be my pick of the bunch for sure.
the full system akra sounds mental
Wow we are spoiled for choices of beautiful motorcycles at the moment !
I love the round headlight , no plastic, the gas tank look beautiful, very retro sport, looks aggressive, would have liked the lower sitting positioned to gas tank.
Ive got a one off repsol 2020 cb1000r...absolutely love it ..never use my 66 yzf r1 60 th anniversary anymore..so versatile
The graphic & the paint job !!! I want one!!!!!! 😍❤️
Awesome machine! Love the review and the camera shots! Well done as always ! Thank you !
Cheers mate - appreciate that
Rear shock sorts any front end flightiness and improves the handling substantially. Great fun bike.
Brilliant review! I love the format and production quality
Thanks LW - appreciate that
I'm with you on the buzz, I also didn't feel next to nothing when I tried one. It's definitely my favourite litre naked . The MT is awesome but more aggressive than this one not to mention more trips needed to the fuel station. I tried this bike in 2018 and feel it's gone under the radar for so long now and is just started to get properly recognised. Good work there chaps!
Thanks mate!
Brilliant bike. Looks tidy, powerful enough for anyone.small screen helps with the weather, does not have to be big. The suspension is made for just knocking about. This is not a sports bike but you can have plenty of fun. Tune the suspension for faster handling and it works !
I remember the 80's and that paint job. I much prefer the old skool cool of the retro CB's but too each their own I suppose. Bloody hell !
Stanley Blazeraznik give me the early 80’s bikes any day. Loved the red and white ‘83 CB1100F. That’s the way I think bikes are supposed to look, not the cuts and edge styling (spaceship) of today’s bikes. I bought a new Suzuki GS1100E (red of course) in ‘83 and paid $3495. Can’t even get a 300cc bike today for that. This one does look awesome though
.
"around town it is not massive handful" ! I can't believe that statement :O
3:53 the sweetest acceleration sound ever!
If you're saying the rear shock is soft, that is the reason the steering feels flighty under quick throttle applications. Adjusting the suspension preload to get the correct sag front and rear for your weight and then adjusting the rebound damping to rise nice and slow will make a world of difference to begin. Next adjust the compression damping on the front for brake dive support and the rear compression damping for acceleration support.
perfect design, perfect shape, perfect paint job...
love everything on this bike!
I just discovered this channel and I’m here to stay! Great videos sir
Thanks mate!
That looks beautiful!
This bike in any paint scheme looks so good. I wish I could manage a 1000 well.
I've had my previous generation model (which I prefer to the new one) for 5 years and while other bikes may come and go this one will never leave. Bollocks to the buzziness. Mine is glass smooth.
My perfect daily rider. Now they just need to depreciate by half and I could afford one 😥
edit: Oh wow that's a coincidence. My current bike is a 2015 GSXS750 and it also has an engine from 2006....
great review boys, had my eye on these ever since they first released, they just look fantastic imo!
Cheers Hal!
Great bike, nice design and ride..., but I ended up purchasing the Kawasaki Ninja H2 instead a few months back (perhaps because I also owe an amazing Green Kawasaki ZRX 1200 from 2003). Cheers, and thanks for sharing this.
The best colour scheme for any Honda!!Beautiful.
That paint job is awesome.
Great video guys!
Great bike amazing paint scheme on yours. Can't wait to get mine
Love the 80's paint scheme. Makes me think VF750F Interceptor, the bike that drew me into motorcycling! Honda should sell this paint scheme!
Just the mirrors that I don’t like but rest of it’s gorgeous , I got the 2017 blade and I’m in love aside from the slip on from the last owner , had to get a full titanium system that looks like yours
This is one very good street bike, Love the paint job. Bonza video Bob,
Cheers RH!
I have a FZ1 (2008) for five months. Best sprung bike I have ever had. Comfy with safe power in 1st and 2nd. Proper scratching tool. Engine is great, no buzzing like these guys are describing.
Yep love my 18 CB1000R
Full akra exhaust/BMC air filter/Rapidbike fuel controller/OEM QS/vortex levers
Did the rapid bike and full akra Combo give you extra Hp?
Well guys, great video thanks! I am a er mature biker aka an old fart and I have had loads of bikes over the years, nearly all Japanese and Yamaha and Honda mainly. Well last month I purchased an almost-new CB1000R in red and I LOVE HER!!! Light, quick, wonderful handling and great looks too. Fitted a Leo Vince can and I will soon fit a BMC air filter. LOVELY bike!!
I like the fact the front fender matches the rear of the bike... beautiful paint job overall.
It’s really nicely done tbf. Everything painted, no decals
There's a reason for having rubber on the pegs. Awesome colour scheme 😎👍
Great video like the colours and the bike stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Cheers RP
I own one and the rear shock is..... junk and it does need a steering stabiliser with the short wheelbase. Everythhing else is fantastic. Love the bike.
Interesting - have you swapped the shock out? And what about a steering damper mod?
@@motobob shock is in transit and taking forever with corona virus slowing the world down. No steering stabilizer as yet as there isn't a cosmetically pleasing option that I have seen.
I like the soft suspension on my CB.
I currently own the previous gen of these and I'm considering this one for my next bike, have you ridden both? Would you say this one is a big improvement?
Wow this is massive.. I like the sound
I think it looks bloody lovely 👍
Want want! No doubt we wont get that colour scheme in Canada. Great video. Perfect length.
👍
You sir are one of the most underrated motorcycle channel ever. 🤘🤘🤘
Appreciate that - thanks AJ!
Stunner of a bike 😍
I had a 94 cbr900rr, just picked up an 05 cbr1000rr. I really really want the 2019 cb1000r because it's kinda the same but easier to maintain without the plastics, and better suited for the type of rider I want to be anyway. I really have no business on the 178 hp repsol, but damn they are all awesome. I'm IN love with Honda Moto right now if you can't tell.
i think is the prettiest bike in the streets.
i love the modification in the single swing arm it looks so awesome like that.
is a shame that we are so poor here in Argentina.
i have myself a Honda xr 250 and here is not the cheapest bike
Sorry to hear these new bikes are not affordable for the working lads in your country. But a 2nd hand CB400 is a sweet ride too maybe as a next step. 😊
Nice review, Gentlemen! As for the bike, I like it. I like it a lot. As an owner of a Z900RS, I guess you could say I suffer from vanity :-) I think Honda have done a sterling job with the looks of the CB1000R, particularly when you stack it up against the much more expensive (admittedly more powerful and no doubt the winner on the track) Ducati Streetfighter V4. Where the Streetfighter looks like a cross between a fridge and cobra, somehow Honda have designed the CB to be angular AND curvaceous in just the right proportions in my opinion. It looks efficient, neat and compact, while pleasing the eye with some rounded-edges on the tank and the single-sided swing arm. Lovely! And if it rides as well as you say, for a PCP price of a hundred quid a month, that is a winner in the real world. Who'd buy the Streetfighter? It's not going to work any better on the road, and for a little more money the panigale would be the best bang for the track...Nice.
I'm in a masive fight with myself over whther to get this or the Z900RS. both are absolutely stunning machines.
guess I'll just have to rob a bank and get both!?
Funny vid: enjoyed the joint format with rarefied road - like the podcast!
Thanks - much appreciated!
The very best motorcycle review/ride/rewatch channel on UA-cam, bar none......
Cheers mate - appreciated!
MOTOBOB in 15 yrs of uploading to UA-cam, yours is the only channel I subscribe too....
Love the retro paint job 👌
Thanks for informative video. Nicely made.
Do you foresee this bike being a good touring bike for longer distances?
I have a couple of CBR1000RR and looking for a more upright bike for touring.
Loving the color scheme 👌🏻
It grew on me tbh
Dude! That is one lane in Merica! Love the bike!
Love it! Got a 2010 and it looks insane👍🏻🤪
I have the blackwidow full exhaust and it's loud without dbkiller. With dbkiller is a more bearable but I don't like the way it sounds, not deep enough. So now I have 2 dbkillers one on the intake and another on the exit of the muffler.
Test rode that bike last fall. Buzzy as all get out. My hands and feet started going numb on the 40 minute test tour. The other Japanese nakeds didn't do that to me...
Nice video. I really like stock exhausts (really refined). I really cannot understand why SBK owners change their exhaust systems.
Nice review 👍 I've owned a couple naked triples and they are great fun but after riding the CB, I'm definitely a convert. Would make a great commuter bike IMHO
Cheers UA!
It sounds so nice for an inline-4. Really rough sound, not like a typical screamer.
Exactly this. Do you know more bikes that sound this way ?
@@aapddd I don't know any other flat plane inline 4s that sound like this honda. But the Yamaha R1 cross plane has a nice sound. Penigale V4, Honda VFR also have V4s with a nice rough sound.
@@aapddd the bmw s1000rr has a rough-ish sound even though it's a flat plane i4. Lots of pops and crackles on that bike. Maybe give the triumph's triple engine a listen, they are like an inline 4 but pulse-ier?
Looks amazing
2:07 For me this is a good compromise between looks and practicality. It leaves the tail of the bike free, which looks great, but affords some protection from spray on wet roads.
I have a CB650R and love the way that bike looks too, but the tail section lets it down. I’ve held off from putting on a tail tidy as I don’t want to get soaked in the wet. If I could get this sort of solution at a reasonable price for the 650r, I’d be all over it.
Once again, great video - always enjoy the production and bringing @rarefiedroad in occasionally offers a good balance of opinions. Keep up the good work!
Cb650shop.com sell one that looks spot on, but it’s €240! Thanks for the kind words re the vid 👍
MOTOBOB thanks man, I spotted that one but it feels a bit pricey compared to a regular £50 tail tidy. Probably just me being tight 😂 🤣
workshybum no I agree mate - that’s extremely steep although it looks well made
Great review! I might be biased but I love my cb1000r!
Cheers BR!
It's a motorbike. Yes I agree but I prefer older bikes so I love the buzzing and other feelings🥰
Nice review, it is indeed a roadbike, meant to suck up potholes etc. Not everyone needs a track weapon.
Classic with a modern like look one of the best looking bikes IMO
What a beautiful bike!
1:29 holy shit that custom one is dreams
Love this bike. Shame I don’t have space in my garage for a second motorcycle
If u can afford this bike then u can definitely afford an extra garage
for me, I love this color. fits the "retro" look.. it also the color of HRC
All black Beautiful bike!
looking into swapping my Z900RS for this. sure do love the look of this one
This bike looks premium especially in the black and red sold colors. More of a comfort weekend fun bike. Probably not a daily bike.
Agree - the CB650R makes sense as a daily
I love your Honda CBR100R too.
Gorgeous bike
Blue, red and white or red, black and white ..great combo color
I like it a lot, the fact its not dripping in teck is a plus in my opinion, I'm a little old school, Keyless, rider modes, TV dashboard, over complicated suspension, dosent interest me much. But I was never much into video games! So maybe that explains it.
Absolutely agree
Two wheels, bars , seat and a big motor
That is what a motorcycle is.
Edit:
I wouldn’t mind a kick start either
Sadly the german version is way more quiet due to a mid silencer and this akrapovic full system is illegal here
They should make that paint an option. Looks amazing
Lads, next time you’re in Cobham I’ll put the kettle on... social distance obvs. Nice Vid👏
Kind offer! It's a lovely spot
That is a good looking Honduh at long last. The older model wasn't actually bad, that goofy looking rear wheel just ruined it. This reminds me of my old ZRX with a better paint job. Perfect for sporty road riding. Would make me happy to see in the garage too.
Great looking bike apart from the awful number plate holder! l saw a black one fitted with a tail tidy and it totally transformed the look.
This thing screams,”Take me to the track!”
Estou com está nova proposta CB 1000R, confesso que a ciclística da anterior era melhor. Mas estou feliz.
That opening scene, I thought godzilla was about to appear on screen. Jeebus!
some people say..... once own a CB...forever in love with it....
just got a 2014 so much fun
