I was raised with this, never again will a programme be made with everything this has! Watching the Christmas night special with all the family good times and good memories ❤
@Paddy 7177 Its what grandad said to a pregnant German girl he said he could speak german but just put ona germann accent I'm sure you will be able to watch it somewhere online
@@sircxx8621 I'm not sure under rated, David Jason had the lead role so always going to get the major lines. The three of them, David Nick and The writer were the gems though what a supporting cast also!
Agreed. It still holds up all these years later. Today's "comedy" shows just don't match up. Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Yes Minister....they just don't make them like that anymore
I think one of the reasons besides the brilliant script and acting is the simple fact we grew up with them over many years . They were like our family . We went through it with them whether it was pure slapstick or sentimental scenes . From falling through the bar to Rodney getting married and simply red in the background in mikes pub with Del on his own John O’ Sullivan was a comedy genius
It’s a shame nothing comes close to this these days due to the “PC” brigade, but this will always go down as the best British comedy ever in my opinion.
Same here, my first English bf taught me banter, under and over tones etc by having me watch this sitcom and several other sitcoms. It's my go to every time
Miss only fools and horses , No one will ever beat the characters Started watching again .. when Need a Laugh " There are some Great comedians for entertainment But the classic will always be the best , and dawn french .. vicar Dibley.. TV changed So much I hardly don't bother ..
Everyones "friends this friends that friends is the best comedy ever" nah nah nah screw that high-school crap, good ol' only fools horses will never fail ro make me laugh.
I like both personally, (they're both very high up on my favorite comedies) though I respect your opinion but I have to be pedantic and say that Friends isn't "high-school" in the slightest - they're all 20s-30s, not high-school at all.
@@MJN_SEIFER well I mean there's alot of high-school talk in friends with a few high-school scenes so it's definitely high-school kinda.. as much as I used to love friends I grew out of the comedy whereas only fools just seens so ageless.
@@JustMitchyNo.9 I respect your opinion, but it doesn't really seem high-school to me - I guess it's because when you're with friends/people you close to, there's no age limit to how you talk (and there's probably something high-school about Only Fools dialogue if someone looked at it that way - it's all perspective, of course - no hate, I LOVE Only Fools) I've never seen any high-school scenes, apart from flashbacks, in Friends, if that's what you mean. I respect your opinion, but I love both shows... they both seem ageless to me.
@@MJN_SEIFER I mean I totally get what you mean.. I think it's all from perspective and age maybe? Yeah I mean from flashbacks and when they make jokes about it.. but I guess theres no right or wrong answer which I think is the beauty of comedy 🤷♂️
Series 6 was the best one IMO, Danger UXD, the Jolly Boys Outing, Yuppy Love, Chain Gang, all brilliant. Series 7 was a bit more hit and miss in comparison.
I think both the long term love interest characters were written a bit too 'right on' quite a lot of feminist talk in the scripts but then I suppose they do provide a foil for the Trotters escapades. I think Raquel was written a bit warmer than Cassandra who always seemed to be moaning about something.
“Well I’d have to think twice” grandad, what a genius , get me every time.😂
Same haha!
You don’t have to
Yeah, I think we can all agree that we love grandad.
Cracking line that was. Always makes me chuckle. 😂
Ye does me 2,such a funny comment from grandad, never gets old.

Nicholas Lyndhurst was way above his years in these early series..such a talent.
He was excellent , and goodnight sweetheart too .
@@brody5211 and he did some acting in going straight with Ronnie barker. 👍
I liked the series 'Two of Us'. A great role model for any young actor.

Yes, for his being only 19.
A Staple for easing my Depression & Anxiety 🤪
Well, those Belgians made you so damn evil, after all.

This will go down in history!!
That car scene with Cassandra is absolutely hilarious.
4.51 am. Can't sleep.
Priceless comedy.
Great acting, best comedy and genius script writer, what a combination.
"He thought he was going to pull a Swede and she gets lumbered with a cabbage!" - still remains my favourite joke from the series :L
The girl being pregnant was a great put-down for Rodders.
Pretty sure at 5:00 David is cracking up hence the pillow lol 😂

Comedy genius from the pen of John Sullivan turbo charged by David Jason & Nicholas Lyndhurst. It's still funny no matter how many times you watch it.

Great show, and great editing of clips.
Only fools it’s great comedy , I keep rewatching it and its funny every time, even though I know what’s coming lol
17:49 I always had a soft spot for Cassandra 🥰
Her monotonous intonation drives me nuts, but that's honestly my only critique of the show, and I hate that I have even one, lol 🍻
That was the days when the BBC was worth paying for
"You've been engaged more times than a switchboard" hahahah
Well I'd have to think twice lol
