So when he grabs his neck at the beginning and stuff, there's actually Vines or roots growing within him under the skin, you can see it. It's kind of subtle but you can see it going up his forearm when the flower blooms. And then when he's looking in the mirror. If you watch the back of his neck, you see the little line of the root grow up as neck.
