For a sovereign country the foreign policy is appropriate. Its a thing called national interests. Not every country has the luxury to have something like this.
It is a great school, with easy access to industry grade labs and scholarship opportunities for everyone. I'm yet to find a university in Europe or the West that has such attractive offers for undergraduates.

Skoltech had an opportunity to be a great school, but it was killed by corruption, incompetence of russian government and poor foreign policy.
