I am so glad I found this video. I am considering the BQ1350 but also comparing it to some higher end Babylocks and Janomes. Trying to decide if they are worth the extra expense!
To find a price on a machine is pretty darn hard. I was told by a dealer the prices are hidden from consumers for a reason - Amazon and online dealers undercutting prices. But I want to buy local, and I will pay more for the machine if free classes on how to use the machine are part of the purchase price.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Looking to replace our 30year old $60 white machine, and for the life of me I couldn't find useful practical info on pricing and series. This was very helpful.
Hello. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and knowledge. I Have a question a bit off topic. I'm trying to find out pricing info on the new brother pacesetters. Ive tried our local dealers . they have said that they dont have them or not carrying them and have no info.. Brothers website says check with dealers..its a vicious circle. Its so dang frustrating to not find the information. Makes me not want to deal with dealers at all. Its like they don't care. I dont understand why advertise a product without including the deciding factor..the price. As a consumer when i get frustrated i go to different product and supplier.. That doesnt generate income for new products. Im probably not the only person feeling this frustration. Sorry for venting. Just very irritated with brother dealers advertising unavailable new products and lack of info like price and where to buy if dealers not carrying them. Again thank you for sharing.
I'm sure you've had an answer by now. I'm looking at the Pacesetter 500 which is supposed to be pretty much the same as this NQ550/575. It's selling for $599. I can't find pricing for any other Pacesetters though.
@feliceluvzya1 I think, actually, all the shops sell them for the same price. I think they withhold pricing so as no to undercut one another and to make it look like you're getting big discounts. I have seen PS500 for $599 and I ended up buying a PS700 for $899.

They don't put prices online because they want to help out mom and pop shops. It's a manufacturer requirement for some models.

Darn - you are on the other side of the country.
I am very interested in the bq1350 but before going forward, I really need a price point.

I wish he would have told me the all of features of each, instead of weather I should spend money on it or not- shouldn’t that be my decision?
I am looking for how to videos on a Brother BQ 950? Settings, which pressure foot to use
Is the Brother nq1300 the same as bq1350? What are the main differences?
I am thinking between nq900 and nq1300. I don’t see the bq1350 in Canada.
Thank you; very informative.
