If you are recording Palworld that's 12 gigs, either it depends on what you are recording (a reaction video may be smaller due to a lower usage of graphics, if that makes sense), or it may be that you do not have the recording in MP4 format (the compressed video) and may be in AVI format (has the least amount of video compression). In other words, the MP4 file format uses less storage than the AVI format, which may or may not be the case for you. Also, I recommend you play Fears to Fathom - Home Alone and is a free horror game for the first episode.

Id try recording a video that has mostly one color palette, and one video with alot, that is the same format settings and time, and it should prove the issue. Personally, what I would do is have your own external SSD tower, which can be expensive depending on what you get.

This means large sections of similar color and/or sections with not much change over time (or just movement across the screen) will compress a lot. When you do a reaction, half the screen is you camera, a quarter is black, and a quarter is the actual video you're reacting to. So 3/4 of the screen not much stuff going on (even you: you're just moving around a bit, which video compression is good at dealing with). On the other hand, gameplay taking up most of the screen won't compress as well, because there's lots more quick movement and high frequency color changes throughout any given frame (this is why video quality dies when lots of particles are in view).
Different video content makes larger file size, like the more moving colors/pixels, more frames of new imagery. Plus higher resolution sources, since nukes sources have a lot of dark video, slow video, low quality sources, and freeze images. Random static for example creates the largest file size because of no compressibility, and the random new unique frames. Also, you should check out Bizarre Bubs Scary Comp. videos.
I think the thing with your vids being a gig is cuz of a high quality graphics and bunch of colors and the details, it would make sense that palworld vids is bigger than geometry dash vids since its a simple few colors, could be wrong tho
pro tip: adjust your mouse sensitivity and enable "trackpad tuning" in the settings. basically trackpad tuning makes your sensitivity less screwed up and easier to control, but it's called trackpad tuning because it's "supposed" to be for trackpads, even though it massively helps if you're using a mouse.
