No, I am from Ireland, but I did have a German girlfriend in my University days. And I first sang this song in a theatre show called: "An Evening with Berthold Brecht".
Great rendition!! If I may ask, where are you from? I see you replying in English, Russian and German so I'm a bit confused. Again, great rendition! Glad it got recommended to me!!
Thanks a lot. So many people never relate the word "beautiful" with the German language. As for socialism, the totalitarian farces that claimed that title in the 20th century gave it a bad name. But the basic premise of a fair society for all is something every decent human being would surely wish for. And when you view it's opponents, like Trump, Bolsonaro, etc you see they are anything but decent people. ❤
@@berniarmstrongI love this song and other socialist music, but I can't agree with communism being something good even in theory. I think it's repulsive and absolutely evil from it's roots, a classless society where the hard working and the lazy are forced into the same class, the talented and the useless are treated the same, that discourages hard work and promotes laziness. It's morally wrong to wish for a classless society, even if you ignore the difficulties I applying it in real life.
@@Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-i8y You haven't understood the basics of Marxist ideology (neither did most of the leaders of the USSR 😉). It was never about bringing everyone down to a certain level, it was about fairness, justice and bringing the best out of people. The fact that certain states in the 20th Century (and a couple today) claimed themselves to be "communist" is easily shown to be a false claim. A totalitarian state can never be socialist, let alone communist. I agree with you there are difficulties in creating a fairer society, but that is no reason to dismiss the idea out of hand.
@berniarmstrong I'm talking about communism because most socialists defend communism. My problem is with communism rather than socialism because in socialism you still can have more than others. I agree that a totalitarian state can never be communist because communism itself is stateless (and because communism can't possibly exist because it's a contradiction in and on itself), but a classless society will never be fair and it will never bring the best out of people, because classless implies bringing everyone down to the same level.
@@Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-i8y So what is the advantage of a class based society, then? Obviously there is a benefit for the exploiter, but not for the exploited, surely?
Pretty good German pronunciation. My only critique would be that you make the last line in the chorus sound like "kein Arbeiter" (No worker) and not "ein Arbeiter" (a worker)
Не должно быть никаких причин, по которым вы не можете сделать версию на акустической гитаре. Удачи в изучении инструмента. практика делает совершенным.
It's a six string ukulele. The first and third strings are doubled. The first has a lower octave string on it and the third a higher octave one. You can certainly play this song on a normal uke, because the tuning is the same. But you won't get the fuller sound that a six string ukulele has. By the way, don't confuse a six string ukulele with a Guitalele, which also has six strings, but they are tuned and set up quite differently.
If you are taken in by the Milton Friedman doctrine that has had forty years to prove its case and failed utterly, then I am guessing that you are alone here. The gap between rich and poor has never been wider since the 17th century; the middle classes have been decimated, their children will have less opportunities than they did; the climate crisis threatens to leave large areas of the planet uninhabitable causing mass movements of people into already crowded areas, etc. I could go on. Is that what you call success? As for communism, please don't confuse that with the Totalitarian farce that had the cheek to call itself that under Stalin and his heirs.
@@berniarmstrong and why is communism and its brother, fascism always start in the same place: a poor country. Such as Russia, which was poor in 1917 due to the Tsar’s poor decisions in World War I. Germany, also had the rise of fascism because of hyper inflation of the German mark and poverty. Poverty, which was increasing not because of capitalism, but because of poor government decisions. You cannot blame capitalism, but the government itself.
@@berniarmstrong now, I am not a full on capitalist, I just believe that capitalism is a good system for the people. There is an equal opportunity for all, if you go to school and use experience, while communism just means the economy will collapse. How? Well, in simple terms, if everyone is “rich” and have more money or wealth to buy more things, thus creating a situation where More is Bought than Produced, then the producers and retail will increase prices, making inflation. Inflation will mean that people will have the burden of bringing more money TO buy basic products, just like how it is in America thanks to Joe Biden and his leftist policies.
