It's not either/ or but people keep voting for democrats. Israel is our #1 ally and has come to the defense of America numerous times. I agree that the homeless situation is really bad though. Many of the mental institutions closed down due to costs. But if states could calculate the economic loss due to homelessness against the cost of opening these buildings into shelters it may be beneficial to use them. Cleaning the streets, police, court and jail cost, people afraid to shop, loss of tax revenue and general decline should be considered.
