@@h7opolo Agreed. Unless you have a very large family, don't care about what brand you purchase, and spend a fortune each year ($6000 just to pay for membership?), it is generally not worth it. On the other hand, making the membership fee worthwhile may be the reason Costco is having a problem with people letting others use their cards. And rumor is that membership fees will increase this year.
Take advantage of the 2 year warranty of electronics and pair it with a card with extended warranty perk (best is someCiti cards as it adds 2 years for 4 years total)
@@jstephens2758 I actually make back more than my Costco membership using the Executive membership, I've been a member for probably 20+ years and have definitely saved a ton of money on everything from chicken to eggs to high quality clothing. On top of that I have the Citi Visa and get over $700 back each year on top of the money I get back for having an Executive membership (2 separate checks I receive) Everyone has to do what works for them, but there is definitely a savings if you do it right at Costco. They have not raised their membership in several years (they used to do it every 2 yrs) and their business model shows they make their money on membership, so their markup on product is extremely low compared to grocery and retailers.
Looking through all the comments of people whining and complaining about Costco. Seriously, if you don't like Costco, there's no need to shop there. You don't even need to watch the videos! It's perfectly fine to invest your money and time elsewhere.
Fresh and frozen items at the back of the store is not some sort of "trick" to make you walk to the back. It is a very practical thing to have the majority of the equipment that supports those areas located at the back of the store. Large vent fans for the bakery, compressors and refrigeration lines for the freezers and coolers and so on. That stuff is bulky and noisy and not having it at the front of the store makes sense.
Moving items and making people go on a treasure hunt is the biggest mistake any retailer can make. It doesn’t increase sales, it wastes a shoppers time, and time is limited.
They greatly exaggerated how much costco does this. at least my local one. Sometimes things get moved for seasonal - like items typically used for BBQ get moved to an island of that stuff. And the stuff along the 'fence' near the entrance changes with the sale flyers. But on the whole - I know were everything is at my local costco and I can find it just fine. And when I can't - a quick ask gets me the location. I don't have to 'treasure hunt'.
Executive you get rebate on the credit care AND from Costco. My friend and I purchased out month long trip to London and Paris and we got over 500.00 rebate plus a fabulous price on everything from Costco. I don't impulse buy anymore.....well almost never and it has to be great.... It takes a "minute" to learn how to use Costco the best way for you. I get See's gift certificates at a 15% discount. I'm getting a bunch next week because I need to get Easter stuff for the family.
The more you spend, the more your spend. Wife: "Honey, I saved a lot of money on this sweater. It was regular price of 190.00 and I got it for 150.00." Me: "No. Tell me how you saved money by spending 120.00"
I am interested in what you have to say, but so sick of seeing that movie footage in anything related to Costco. Do you have any other video? Fair use, paid rights, or copyright violation?
Men's dress shirts are a fraction of the cost at Costco. Izod is 17.99, Calvin Klein is 19.99, while their KS brand is 22.99. That's at least five to ten dollars cheaper then retail! Also NON FOODS stuff.. consider that. Deals abound!
Shop with a list and stick with it. Stay away from the cheap quality shelf stable ultra processed foods. The clothing sucks for the most part unless you like huge logos, stretchy synthetic materials and HUGE sizes. Search for healthy foods that they do have there. Skip most of the vitamin and supplements as most are of the cheapest quality. A good place for liquor for those who drink.
Costco in Australia has a much Better Hotdog, that is all Pork, not the smelly All Beef Hot Dog in North America. Here in Canada, we can still get Garlic loaded Polish version, but even the Garlic can't completely hide the Nauseous Beef Smell
The biggest mistake people make when shopping at Costco these days is Shopping at Costco. Costco sells way too much over-price junk food and AWFUL produce and bakery products. 🤑🤔🤐😵💫🤢🤮
Costco thinks everyone wants to steal from them. Their stuff is not cheap anyway without personal services - with a $60 membership. They are counting each item before leaving the store. I stopped shopping for them for 2 years and supported my local grocers. By the way, did the IRS know you get money back from Costco, and did you put that on your tax? That's considering income.
@@romeosmith4102, Are you a CPA? IRS audited us, and they pointed out that was income. Our accounting firm was told to add as an income. The fee is an expenses. We have the business account.
Frying stuff in olive oil, particularly over extended periods of time (think anything beyond frying eggs on medium temperature) may cause cancer. Olive oil burns on high heat. Just as butter.
Kirkland bathroom tissue is not worth it at any price. I stopped buying it years ago. Every once in a while, I will purchase it, just incase its quality has improved. So far, a big fat no.
Beware of Kirkland brand products, ive tried some! The company does NOT LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS!! WHERE IS THE COMMENT LINE?? WHAT IS THE NUMBER?? ON MEAT-WHAT SALE?? THEY ARE SET IN STONE!!

avoid the place

Spend 6,000 to save 120 on membership. I'm good with the 60 dollar membership.
But 3000 to recoup the executive membership cost.
Cash back up to $7000 in gas purchases. Adds up.

Yes, BUT, Americans who shop there have little to no social life, beyond their house. Hence, they always find time for Costco.
Can we PLEASE get 100% grass-fed beef, steak, and dairy? Costco needs to get this done. There is huge demand.
No, there isn't a huge demand. I'd say less than a half of one percent
But grain fed tastes much better
There's just not enough supply for Costco to cover all of their stores with regular, grass fed items.
Sad, that’s why I don’t buy my meats there

What’s wrong with the toilet paper? It’s all I buy because of the packaging. You can buy 1 big package and put all the smaller ones in each bathroom!
That's what I do.
Also in Ohio you can just walk up to the door without a membership and buy alcohol and prescritions
If you're a single person you're basically just buying frozen items. 😂
