I lost my father a few years ago, way too young, he was 56. I can relate to so much of their music because of that, but this one especially hits me in the gut. Thank you Volbeat. If you're going through it, put on Volbeat, they probably have a song that will put it in perspective and help you through it. The world's greatest band.
Such a meaningful and nice song...! I love the way it SLOW, MEANINGFUL, and Lovely Electric Guitar.... Maybe the best of Volbeat... But why the hell on earth there is no Official Clip or even a Concert from this Song?!
I just lost my father. He was a saint. He was my hero. He represents all that’s good in men in this world. All the good in me, came from him. Dad, I l love you and miss you so much! I’ll get by, because you taught me to push through, but damn, I miss you and love you with all my heart and soul. Thanks so much for everything. You made me who the am. ❤️🍻❤️
This was the last song my best friend shared with me weeks before he passed away due to cancer. I had never heard of Volbeat but when i heard the lyrics it just captured all the feelings and emotions of losing some one so close to me. There comes a time when a friend is no longer just a friend but a family member. RIP Chris
This couldn't be more fitting to finish it off. Not sure why, really, but this song was one of those that nearly had me in tears. I guess it's the emotional connection to family, which most of mine is in the ground at this rate...
Just when you think the pain of loss has passed you find a gem like this. So many Volbeat song hit me right in the hart they will be with me for the rest of my life! I can’t thank these guys enough for the free therapy they provide
Brilliant band. Only started listening to them 18 months ago but hooked , I have all their albums and don't get board of hearing their songs . KEEP ON ROCKING
Thank you Daniel my late hubby for introducing me to this band years ago. I will always listen to them in memory of you. Seen these guys live in May and they were amazing. I couldn’t help but cry throughout the set.
This whole album is amazing...but this to end it off, unbelievable...so many influences or other bands that I hear elements in this song from, but yet it is undeniably Volbeat and Volbeat alone.
3 - 3 1/2 years ago I was working at a local mini-mall (supermarket) as well. I used my own usb drive on the radio there to listen to metal. A guy walked in, liked it and left. The very next day he comes back and gifted me a cd with Volbeat tracks, first time for me listening to them, been following them around the world since.
The song so much reminds me of my father!! but also my nephew who just lost his father (my brother) in a motorcycle accident. an absolute stud, and even more incredible human being!!! Rip B.A.B you will live on forever in your loved ones hearts😎💪
I lost my dad a few years ago in a terrible way...I relate to so many of his songs about his father. It's awesome to have such powerful music that you can pull out when you really want to make that emotional connection and express it in a meaningful way.
Man good point green ,love the whole CD,saw them live in Monclair,NJ i been listening to music a long time from Kansas to Lamb of God,am i crazy but somehow i hear a bit of a harder Journey in this song?
Whatever they do, whatever they add to their MUSIC, even the most cheese staff, including ELVIS P style in vocal, Volbeat "NOw" IS SIMPLY THE DEFINITION OF THE PUREst, AND THE BEST ROCK & ROLL And What in General HEAVY MUSIC Can Oferre
I'd give anything to be able to call my dad one more time. In the grand scheme of things I'll be seeing him real soon. 40 to 50 more years on a planet that's been around for billions of years is nothing. See you soon Pops🤘🤘
I envy you, you have a great joruney ahead of you, into volbeat, wait until you heir the other 70 songs hehe :). Though this new new album a the badest in my apinning but still very very good :). Best wishes from Denmark, the home country for volbeat :).
I've been listening to Volbeat A LOT over the past few months (I regret not doing it sooner than the summer months), and out of everything I've heard, I can honestly there hasn't been a single song I haven't liked. I'm itching to see them live this year, as long as it's relatively close.
wow, listened to this song 10 times in a row now, love it. 2nd fav song of album, 1st has to be lonesome rider. i wish they'd do an all rockabilly album with songs like 16 dollars and lonesome rider, and use the stand up bass in all of the songs. Volbeat has officially moved up to my top 10 fav bands of all time. Can't wait to see them in las vegas in september.
Even with bad English, his words still get through to me. After that Hetfield/Hammett like intro, it was pretty easy. I quite enjoy their uniqueness, blending western sounding early rockabilly and 90s metal sounds... fucking epic.
I never could really understand what he's saying at times but that doesn't stop me from "singing along" 😂😂Great music glad I discovered them a couple of years ago
THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTE PROOF THAT HEAVY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE FAST!!! very well written song. volbeat rocks
I lost my father a few years ago, way too young, he was 56. I can relate to so much of their music because of that, but this one especially hits me in the gut. Thank you Volbeat. Stay strong 🙏❤

Very true Micheal lost his father ....alot of his songs reflect that sentiment....listen to..... fallen......peace brother
Micheal has a voice that is extremely rare in rock. A true Gift, and the band is perfect as well.
This Song is absolutely awesome!! My Dad died 32 years ago, I still miss him every Day...forever your little Girl Daddy 😟💖
Such a meaningful and nice song...! I love the way it SLOW, MEANINGFUL, and Lovely Electric Guitar.... Maybe the best of Volbeat...
But why the hell on earth there is no Official Clip or even a Concert from this Song?!

That's the first time I listen to this song. My father died when i was 15. I miss him since. I started instantly crying when I heard these lines

One of the best, most powerful songs i've in all my life.
Some Death's riffs , metallica riffs, with Hetfield 's vocals...amazing
I would love to see a Live version of this magnificent song but I am not sure they have ever done it live...?
Einer der Besten Songs von Volbeat!
