Damn. I came here hoping to get further insight of the sticking pattern as Sam hits those cymbals off time in the last measure of the final breakdown but it seems you had a bit difficult of a time figuring it out too lol. Absolutely killer playing regardless! Especially considering the time you've had to learn it which isn't much. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers!!
The pattern that Sam used is called a hemiola pattern. I hope i spelled that correctly... anyway, the chorus and most of this song has a 3/4 feel to it.... so, it now becomes this polyrhythmic sounding groove. It's tricky, but it's not insane.
Thanks! I added the track and a click to my DAW and prerecorded the audio on an e kit, I had the kit’s samples run through Getgood Drums in Kontakt. Afterwards I just played the same thing on my acoustic and filmed.
@@SirDarb14 There's some pretty affordable cheapo mics around nowadays, definitely look a bit more in depth, some sites also do packs now at discounted pricing. Hope you're able to get some in a year or two to speed up production, nice job :)
So the way I did this one, is I recorded on an e kit for the audio and then shot the video playing the exact same notes on my kit here. Kind of a weird way to go about it, but it worked for me at the time.
Damn this is a crisp sounding kit
Those ghost notes are on point!

Definitely not as time efficient, but it’ll do until I can afford mics.

drum triggers
I'm confused, where are the mics? Did you just use a couple of overheads and write the midi on top?

makes this look effortless. i'm ordering a drumset right after i watch cuz it doesnt look that hard.
why the fuck do you have only 7k views? hope that changes cause this i didnt search for this. good shit.
where are the mics?
Yo get some mics and mix in your drums! Looks like you still nailed it for the most part though. Not an easy one to play, keep it up 👍
When you treat your snare like it's your sensitive trans gbf because it has a platform ie triggers.
