I feel loke I need to put a qualifier on my comment for clarification. I am not promoting trad fem. I am not straight (tho I am in a hetero passing relationship). I am not interested in having children. I dont beleive in gender roles. I dont believe in gender roles. I make substantially more money than my partner working in a male dominated field. When I first started, I thought in bad to copy the traits of my male coworkers in order to get ahead. I was trying to prove that I "wasn't like the other girls." Which in reality only puts other women down. I thought you had to be hard of character and dress conservatively (all black slacks and dress shirts) to get ahead. Somewhere along the line I changed my perspective. I am soft and kind to people. I wear mostly dresses in printed fabric. I nuture the plants in my garden and my furry and feathered babies. Any person of any gender that possesses feminine traits (in the trad Western sense) is worthy of respect. And does not deserve to be belittled for daeing to be soft and vulnerable when the world is so hard.

We need to talk about what she said in regards to femininity being disregarded and degraded in politics. We often see women having to become more masculine to be taken seriously in every day life.
We can’t deny that femininity is degraded, and seen as weaker hence why emotions are since they’re a feminine trait. We need to take it more seriously because women already struggle with being in politics since it’s a field where one has to strive to being taken seriously.

@@jackhawkins4850 True, but I believe that there is still a level of importance in those matters since America throughout its history has been very exclusionary of women in politics, especially those of color. I believe that one day we all want to get to the point where being a woman, POC, and/or LGBT in politics and/or high positions of power is normalized and not a huge deal anymore, but until we get there we celebrate these milestones of representation until we reach that future. I view supporting a politician as approving their policies and positions as the most important and them belonging to any one or multiple of these marginalized groups as an amazing added bonus to represent to people in these groups that no matter who you are, as long as you can show that you actually represent the interests of the people you serve and have policies they support then you have a fair shot of being a member of Congress, Vice President, or even President.

@Elijah Obra that's a fair enough question. You could argue that it's a protest against society as a whole or it could just be the voice in your head that tells you you're not good enough. To be honest, I don't really feel like arguing about this because all it is is a way that people are choosing to think in order to motivate themselves to appreciate themselves.

It is massively disappointing that she has voted for every Mitch McConnell so-called stimulus bill during this pandemic, which has been the greatest transfer of wealth upward in our nation´s history. She voted in the CARES Act for a $1.72 million tax cut for the rich while only granting a one-time $1200 check to the rest of us. Her leadership is sorely missing in these historic times.
