I learnt that on school excursions, the best place to sit is the front of the bus... the decision making teachers tend to sit up front, and even when you're only 10 years old, you can sometimes have input on choices they need to make (where to stop for lunch, whether or not to skip certain items on the itinerary, etc).

The reason the bus only stopped once is because you only pressed the stop button before the town and mechanic. The is probably more stops you just didnt press the stop button :)

Squirrel, when you are exploring the map, could you look at two things for me?
1) try driving along the railroad tracks.
2) the road to your house clearly continues, but I have never seen anybody go down there. It can't go far, since the lake is just a short distance, but ... conspicuous road makes me curious.

As a child who went on many school trips in the 90s and late 80s, I've sat on a _lot_ of coach seats with almost the exact same upholstery as that bus. It might be 70s, but whatever fabric it's made from must have been extremely hardwearing...
You're so right about seventies inside that bus. Finnish bus companies tends to use vehicles quite a long time specially at country side. The bus model is Kutter 9 which was made by Finnish company Kutter during late seventies and early eighties. Typically it was build on Volvo or Scania chassis but some Mercedes-Benz also exist. The ticket machine is very old. It's called Almex. Museum piece but there was couple companies using it still in the early 2000 until use of Euros and creditcards generally took it of from use. Kutter 9 was very popular bus among finnish bus companies. 1201 samples were made between 1977-1986.

the sofa at the landfill is amazing, you can put it anywhere and sleep on it now
Tip on the sauna. Leave the bucked under the tap, and when you use the sauna, stand in front of the stove and lean into the wall with the spoon. You'll be able to refill the bucket without having to leave the sauna just by clicking the tap. Saves time.

The bus stops only when you press the butten (Stop Bus). There are multiple bus stops one at the dirty track of the mechanic, a stop by your dirty track by the red house, one at the airfield and the one in the city.
Honestly it served you right getting on that bus in the first place just to try and piss off the driver. I used to drive a bus, I know he did that on purpose because you pissed on him before. Did you forget that? Don't blame the bus driver for your inanities. (lol)

The bus stopped at the busstop because you clicked the Stop Bus button, and wouldn't drive on before you left the bus.

sometimes during a thunderstorm, lightning will take the quickest possible route which sometimes ends up getting to the landline, making it ring. since the phone wasn't surge protected, you got electrocuted, as "lightning called"

I remember swedish school busses still being like this in the mid 90's. In the army I rode one to, a former Air Force buss.
At first I thought this game was a little hokey. Now I can't stop watching, and look forward to the next day. Very entertaining. Those carbs look like SU HS4s. You may have to balance them. Or I guess the mechanic will.
If you get blackout drunk, you always wake up at your house. If you die and wake up in town, wait till the bar opens, buy 5 shots of vodka and wait. You will be home in no time.

You can see which side the fuelfiller is by looking at the fuelmeter and the tank logo. That side the fuelline is, thats the same side as the fuelfiller

That thing that sticks up across from the dock by the house is a radio tower with guy wires for support.
Let's be serious here for a moment. While those bus seats look weird, they are actually the most comfortable bus seats I've ever had the pleasure to use. Also buses with those seats were in use here during 2000 and I think around 2010 they were retired from use. And I don't use in forest either, I live in a fourth biggest city that shares borders with the biggest and second biggest cities.

Omg, I was dying of laughter from the bus ride, Haven't had a laugh like that in weeks 😂
I was a bit weirded out by the phone zap bit, thinking maybe being rooted to the floor was like an out of body experience showing that you'd died and were now seeing things as a ghost or something, seeing as the usual "screen filled with blood" death depiction wouldn't make much sense...
...then I realised you were still holding the phone, and the game probably just doesn't let you walk around whilst holding it because it's a wired handset. Derp. The flash must have just been a near miss, like the line had built up a few hundred volts - enough to trigger the ringer, which works on about 50v IIRC - which must have been enough to give you a bit of a tingle or the same kind of shock you might get from touching a radiator after building up a static charge... but not the fatal jolt that would come of it building up a few thousand or tens of thousands...
Also, I expect you can't repaint the exhaust because of it having an anodised coating, which is why it looks sort of shiny, almost translucent metallic red. The only way you can really change that is by sanding off the existing coating then applying another. Exhausts are difficult things to paint and rust-protect in general because of the high heat they build up, most ordinary spray or rust-prevention paint can't hack it and either flakes off or develops a characteristic rainbow-burnished, or sometimes just charred appearance almost immediately. If you want the paint to actually hold you need special high-temperature stuff, which is only available in a fairly limited range of colours, doubly so if you want it to be anti-rust as well. Compared to the typical shades available in high-temp (shiny black, metallic silver,, and matt black/white/red/blue all rather reminiscent of primer) , that shiny red is rather attractive...

there are four stops, one near the turning off the highway for your house, in the town, near the mechanic and by the turning for the drag strip. He WILL stop at any of them, you just have to press the stop button within 20-30secs of the stop.
and also, when getting on the bus...you don't need to stick your thumb out for it to stop, simply standing at the bus stop is enough
