Thank you guys for playing such a wonderful song by Amy Grant . It's been such a long time since I've heard that song. She is currently married to a very beautiful vocalist named Vince Gill.
Y'all should check out "Whenever You Come Around", by Amy Grant's husband, Vince Gill. He wrote it about her right after their first meeting. It's a beautifully sweet song, especially knowing the story behind it. 💕
I think I saw something that said she actually wrote this about her first child but of course they made it about adults in love. Amy is amazing, I saw her at Baylor once and her Christmas shows in Dallas.
Pop, country, gospel Amy has an arsenal. Look into her duets. Her and her hubby Vince Gil have a great catalogue, Amy and Peter Cetera has a classic hit (of course. It was pretty much when Peter started his single career, which he has another great career) Amy got a lot of criticism when she branched out from gospel, from her good girl songs.
Amy Grant is amazing! She recently had a serious bicycle accident but overcame it. Her voice is so beautiful. I love this album and I’m sure some one has mentioned that this song is actually about her baby! ❤️❤️ also definitely recommend House of Love with Vince Gill.
She has such a great voice. Happy to see you guys getting grant into ya:) This album was the first time she stepped into the pop industry from being a strictly christian singer.
This song was on the radio and playing in every store in the mall! Lol 😆 she's got a great voice. I've become entranced by her Christmas song 'breath of heaven.' Vince Gill's best girl!

Even though it's been 30 plus years since this came out, I still remember every single word. Amy Grant was one of my absolute favorites singers from the 80's
She had a serious bicycle accident last July and was unconscious for several minutes, and spent a week in the hospital with minor brain damage (as minor as brain damage can be I suppose). I saw her in an interview the other day and she talked about it and how she has recovered and is launching a new concert tour. She has been married to Country artist Vince Gill for 22 years.
Love Amy! Besides being a great singer/songwriter she is an awesome human being with a heart of gold. She was just honored at the Kennedy Center Honors in December with Gladys Knight and U2. :) She does many great philantrophic works and is the most loving accepting person who came out of the CCM genre. She was the "queen of Christian pop" in the 80's. This was her big pop breakthrough with this song hitting number 1 and staying there a couple of weeks in 1991. :) So fun, perfect summer song. Yes, she came from CCM but don't get it wrong, she is not judgemental and in fact, she was condemed by the super conservative church. They totally cancelled her when she crossed over and then later in 2000 when she got a divorce and married Vince Gill. She has been nothing but loving through it all...super classy lady with some great songs! Check out this fun remix of some of her huge hits! This is a total fun dance remix.. the editing is incredbile .. this was to celebate the 30th anniversary of Baby Baby and Heart In Motion the album it was on! As others have said, she started out as a contemporary Christian music but then did this crossover album and gave us some great pop songs. I remember when this came out that a lot of her fans weren't as appreciative of this album...too much of a departure from her Christian music...as if as an artist she can't branch out and still remain true to who she is. Amy was recently inducted as a Kennedy center honoree. You should check that out so you get a proper backstory to her rise to fame. She's amazing. She suffered a major biking accident last summer and had a head injury that sometimes affects her memory but luckily she was wearing a helmet or it could've been so much worse. She recently had to have a cyst removed from her throat that had been impacting her singing. Two years before that she had open heart surgery to correct a birth defect. Her faith has kept her strong and her music is a beautiful reflection of who she is.
She just got her kennedy center honors this past December:)))) This album had great songs and this song was number one in 1991 and this album was nominated for album of the year in 1992; Please react to "Thats what love is for" (i'm a pop girl too !)
Always loved Amy. This one is pure sugar, but was a big hit. Try “House of Love” with her husband Vince Gill, “Next Time I Fall” with Peter Cetera, and “That’s What Love is For”. “Tennessee Christmas” is great for the holidays.
Amy started out as a Christian pop singer. I had a friend who introduced me to her music. This was her coming into her own as a mainstream pop star. She had a hit duet with Peter Cetera from Chicago a few years earlier with “The Next Time I Fall In Love”. Great song. Had a huge crush on Amy back in the day. She’s so lovely.
She IS lovely. What a perfect description ! The "Next Time I Fall " is one of the best duets in pop music imho. "Big Yellow Taxi " is also a favorite 🥰
I saw her on this tour, it was awesome! This whole album is great. I”m a.metal/hard rock guy at heart but I’ve got a soft spot for some good pop music, I am also a huge Debbie Gibson fan.
Over-saturation is an understatement with this song. You couldn't escape "Baby Baby" in the early 90s on Soft Rock stations, in the morning, afternoon or evening. It was also played in most dentists offices, fabric stores, grocery stores and any other place with piped-in music. In my mind, I still believe most places still have this song.
This was huge on MTV, played over and over. This is pop but she evolved into country, blue grass & Christian music, has won 6 Grammy awards. I'm not into all of her music but this one is super catchy and cute, and I waited on the cute guy in the video in LA, while it was on MTV all the time..so cute!
You waited on Jamie Stein? The Baby Baby hunk? LOL Jelly! He is also in her cute video song "Good For Me" same kind of vibes but at the beach. Also, Amy is not considered a "country" artist , but she has covered and performed some country-ish tunes occasionally especially with hubby Vince Gill at the Grand Ole Opry. I read she doesn't consider herself a country singer, more folk/pop/rock genre. She sometimes gets introduced as a country singer but it's not accurate. :)

#1 hit from 1991. I miss the time when simple songs with great chord progressions & melodies ruled the charts. Great stuff!
For the record, I had DEBBIE GIBSON on my walls. 😎
I had Debbie, Tiffany, Expose, and Madonna. hehe But I loved Amy! I really enjoyed all of her music - from the beginning Christian roots, the pop crossover, and the Christmas Album.
@@jbjacobs9514 I didn't discover Amy Grant until "The Next Time I Fall." Great duet with Peter Cetera. As far as Expose, I'm in love with Jeanette's voice! She sounds amazing. My favorites, mainly because of her voice, are "Your Baby Never Looked Good In Blue," "Seasons Change" and "I'll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me)."
@@BillGraper I cannot remember if it was 1990 or 91, but I went to a free concert on Miami Beach (it was like 95 degrees!) to see Expose live. Wackiest part was DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince (some guys no one knew at the time LOL) opening for them! It was insane - nearly got heat stroke, but it was worth it!
Great song to introduce to your kids! Love her and Vince Gill (her hubby) also the song she sings with Peter Cetera (from Chicago) Next time I fall In love ❤ it’s one of my favorites!!! ❤❤❤
Amy Grant is also an awesome songwriter. Hope to hear more from her. There are many great choices. ❤️❤️❤️
Amy had one of those monster albums in the early 90s. It had 4 or 5 hit singles and her videos were all over MTV for about 2 years.
She’s a Christian/Pop singer songwriter. I saw her in concert a few years ago and she was great.
As a teen in the early 80's I would listen to Amy to soothe me when I was down. Love her.
I really loved this song and how sweet it was when it was released on the flip side I also loved the divnyls I touch myself at the same time
I think I saw something that said she actually wrote this about her first child but of course they made it about adults in love.
Peter was better off solo. Better hits, better vocals. Same when Glenn Frey left The Eagles.
@@taoist32 Agreed, he seemed timid sometimes, or maybe it was shyness but he seemed to bloomed the more he got to sing and write.
Amy Grant is a Grammy award winning artist- back when it mattered.
Amy Grant is amazing! She recently had a serious bicycle accident but overcame it. Her voice is so beautiful. I love this album and I’m sure some one has mentioned that this song is actually about her baby! ❤️❤️ also definitely recommend House of Love with Vince Gill.
She also had heart surgery a few years back, to correct a defect.
Amy Grant was a gospel singer you hit the nail on the head amber.. good pick up..
Love Amy Grant & love this song!!
When I was a kid I was stupid in love with this woman. My neighbor, also named Amy looked exactly like her, just younger like me.
Her Christmas album is still one of my favourites.
Amy grant sang the song about her baby girl and I love it.
One of my faves is a duet with Amy Grant and Peter Cetera (of Chicago fame, then had his own career) called, "Next Time I Fall." Super sweet, super romantic. Definitely check it out sometime.
Amy Grant sings the most beautiful Christmas song I've ever heard called Breath of Heaven. Absolutely gorgeous!
Even though it's been 30 plus years since this came out, I still remember every single word. Amy Grant was one of my absolute favorites singers from the 80's
She is so cool.
Heart In Motion was nominated for 4 grammies in 1992, including Album of the year, Record of the Year, Best Female performance and song of the year for Baby Baby. :) Check out this fun remix! It's so cool, the edit! you will love it! ua-cam.com/video/3j8gxyg5V6U/v-deo.html
a pop song, that was big in 1999 - Kiss Me, from Sixpence None The Richer
Love this song! She's one of my favorite artists. 💕
She just got her kennedy center honors this past December:)))) This album had great songs and this song was number one in 1991 and this album was nominated for album of the year in 1992; Please react to "Thats what love is for" (i'm a pop girl too !)
Not just a wonderful singer but one of the nicest people on the planet. Same for her hubby Vinny.
Always loved Amy. This one is pure sugar, but was a big hit. Try “House of Love” with her husband Vince Gill, “Next Time I Fall” with Peter Cetera, and “That’s What Love is For”. “Tennessee Christmas” is great for the holidays.
Every genre has its appeal and place.
Eu cresci ouvindo Amy Grant , e essa música Baby Baby é uma dás minhas favoritas até hoje .❤
Absolutley best Amy Grant 80s pop song thank you
her christian song "father's eyes" is so beautiful and got me through some of my hardest times.
You have to do Amy Grant Every Heartbeat, you will love it
Yessss! I'm going to see her in concert in a couple of months. Childhood dream come true.
I remember my mom won this album from a local radio station and gave the tape to me. I had so much fun listening to it, singing along. Good memories.
Check out Amy in, "Next Time I Fall." "That's what Love is For, and I Will Remember you."
Always liked this song and video. They did a great job casting that guy in the video as those two have great chemistry.
Awwww this takes me back to elementary school
This brings back so many memories I remember hearing this all over the radio in the 90s as a child and I'd sing along! Such a classic 90s bop song
@@jco6528 I didn't know his name, but recognized him from the video that was on MTV 24/7, lol. He was sitting at the bar at a famous old school Hollywood place I was working called Formosa Cafe. If I remember correctly he was working at The Ivy at the time, a very famous celebrity restaurant. He was talking to our bartender about stuff. Yeah, I got to wait on tons of famous people & it was a very low key place, everone acted like normal people. Waited on Brad Pitt right before Thelma & Louise came out but knew him from tv. Very cute!! Great times. Yeah, I can see she's not really country & I totally forgot she's married to Vince Gill!
Oooooo you have to hear her “Every Heartbeat” Love It!!!!
