Very cool, I just ordered one yesterday and I'm excited to try it out when I get it. One possible suggestion for a more compact (and possibly water proof) version: you could move all of the electronics to the XLR end or a small enclosure between two lengths of cable so that the piezo end can be smaller and fully encased into a more compact space. Or, separating the preamp and the piezo so that you have an small box with a male XLR jack, a female TS 1/4" jack, and all of the electronics, and then a piezo element with a length of cable pre-attached that can be plugged into the box. Really cool contact mic. I am excited to try it out.
Sounds really sensitive indeed. Kudos! Have you sound tested the MM Pro against the Barcus Berry Planar Wave 4000 mic?

Interesting! but it doesn't say from where in the world you ship these microphones, I'm in Sweden and i'm trying to calculate price and i can't determine if i should add customs fees and taxes on this price or not.
Ah -- I ship from the US to anywhere in the world. For customers outside of the US, my website does not include VAT, meaning that when your package arrives in your country, Customs will hold it until you pay. I believe the rate is 25% in Sweden.

@@metalmarshmallowllc thank you very much for your quick and good reply. Yes i will have to pay customs fees and VAT and all that ontop of your price. It won't be cheap! but this is a tough one to resist. I might just order one later in the autumn from you. :)
These are really awesome! Any plans to build a model in the future as a USB contact mic? With the ADC inside the metal enclosure of the mic, you could provide huge dynamic range with an extremely low noise floor. Especially if you allow 24-bit recording, or astronomical dynamic range if you allowed for 32-bit recording! LOL These kinds of mics are incredible for detecting that an object has been touched, even in very loud environments.
Yes I ship to India. Approximate cost if you purchace on metalmarshmallow.com: Metal Marshmallow Pro: 149 USD (12319.88 INR) Duty: 2071.23 INR VAT: 2381.91 INR Shipping: 18 USD (1,488.31 INR) Total: 18261.33 INR I do not collect Duty and VAT directly, your government will charge you when the items arrive in your country. I'm not guaranteeing this price, I am only giving an estimate, I'm not a tax expert.
