Recently purchased one to use as amp to our church audio system while sending HDMI output to 2 projectors. It replaced an older 6 channel mixer. Works great and simple to use.
Personally, I think the one thing you listed as a complaint (having to pull the 1/4" jack out to achieve a centered mono signal) is probably the one reason I'm going to buy this! -If I understand correctly, each input and output is a stereo (1/4" TRS) jack? So it sums and outputs stereo signals? This might just be a synth-player's dream come true! Thank you for posting this :)
Thank you! Perfect solution for my multi-synth setup. Can you comment more on the noise levels? Does the qualify deteriorate when going trough this unit?
@@TheVexProject actually my acoustic guitar has two channel ..one for internal mic and one is preamp ...so I have planned to use the mixer input 1 and 2 for the internal mic jack and preamp piezo pick up jack , then finally connecting the mixer out with my amp ( main jack not to the line out ) .... So asking you is it possible to do ?
You could. The only issue you would have is that this output of the amp is mono and the input of the mixer is Stereo so your amp is going to be hard panned to the left
I recently bought a FFINE USB microphone. Is it possible to amplify my guitar sound if I use this N5? for use at home. Normally I would need a amplifier right? thhx
If you want to amplify your guitar, I think you will need an amplifier instead of a mixer. The N5 can't amplify high-impedance signals. Since electric guitars have high impedance, I would suggest you to get an audio mixer with a sound interface.

Hi! Very nice review, I have a question that I couldn't answer elsewhere, forgive me if its too "noobish". Can I use this as an audio interface? Mainly to record vocals from 4 people simultaneously and then route it into my laptop to edit in Logic. Or do I need to send the output to a dedicated audio interface first? Thanks!
@@DecontructRecreate You can use it as a summing device but no matter what you run into it you're only going to get a stereo track out. No matter if that's right into a laptop of interface. So If you are okay with mixing the vocals with the knobs and being fine with those levels later this will work fine for what you need.
Awesome bro, could I use this to run a backing track to the FOH and run a backing+click track to the Drummer as a monitor as well? I'm still trying to get my head around running tracks and how to😂
i have one of these, connected to my pc, playstation, and have a aux for my DAP since i dont like unplugging my headphones every time i need a change of source input
yo im very new to recording and i wanna know if i can use this with a pair of behringer c4s for stereo recording? Is this the same as an audio interface or do i need to get an interface reguardless. Sorry if the question is really stupid but i really gotta know. In dumb people speak: can i connect my 2 mics into this and just directly connect it to my pc to record in my DAW?
You wouldn't be able to run this unit into a DAW without an interface. Also you'll need to power those mics with 48V Phantom Power to have them work properly. I'd recommend finding a cheap 4 channel mixer/Interface.
It'll be a bit more expensive than this price point, but the Focusrite 2i2 and the Presonus Audio box are good for the price of you only need 2 channels!
Great review I am looking at something like this for an off the wall project on my boat. You have a great speaking voice btw, you should consider professional work using your talent!
If your drum machine has a stereo out some thing like this would be good. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/STP201--hosa-stp-201-insert-cable-1-4-inch-trs-to-dual-1-4-inch-ts-3-foot Machine>this cable>mixer.

Yes, the I/O jack is stereo as long as you use stereo source and cable.

Nice review, so does that mean i can use it with backup tracks and my guitar playing at the same time?
That’s what I bought the Behringer version for.
Thanks for the review!
Hi, could i use to for my audio interface? I would just like to adjust the treble and bass of my microphone. thanks!
Yes, you can use it to extend the input number of your audio interface, but there's no function of tone adjustment on this mixer.
Can I connect my amplifier with the output of the mixer ...my amp has no line in ..
I wouldn't, what type of amp do you have?

Yes and remember that every input is stereo!
HI, can i connect to my main mixer to "add channels"?
Dig it. Nice video. I bought it. It was on my porch first thing in the morning. It does the job. Thanks.
Sold this one for me. Great review, thanks :)

on a second thought, I think you already answered my question

connected my pc to the mixer through a male to male aux with a quarter inch adapter and only got noise through the left ear :(
Is this cable a stereo cable?
Could be the adapter, you can try adjusting the position of the adapter or testing with another adapter.
hi can i use it for karaoke too? Sound input from Smart TV (RCA to Jack), add microphone input and than output to my Home theater from OUtput
Hey! Yes you can can use it karaoke. I just tried the set up you described and it worked great!
The Vex Project link to shop pls
How do condenser mics perform on this? I ordered one for my podcast.
You're going to need a phantom power box or a pre amp between the two. If you have that you should be fine!
I just wish it didn’t take 12volts. I use an upconvert USB to 12v adapter but being truly portable would make sense for this thing.
There are mixers like this that work on usb I believe

Can I use that to run a bass pedal into a PA power amp?
Can I use this for karaoke?
I would not recommend this for karaoke
i have one of these, connected to my pc, playstation, and have a aux for my DAP since i dont like unplugging my headphones every time i need a change of source input
Is it good tho?
And what cables do you use to convert stereo 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch?
How can I use this and record with my mac? also is it possible to use this and put the output through a channel in a mixer or audio interface ?
That would be exactly how you'd route this if you wanted to capture all the outs summed to 1 stereo mix.
@@TheVexProject oh I just thought there would be an alternative but thanks! Love the review! Subbed! ❤
Ah, it's just the 4 stereo 1/4in to 1 stereo out. And thanks.
When i’ll plug in my headphones with 80 ohm this headamp give me 100% power for this headphones?
CAN I PUT 4 MICROPHONES AT THE SAME TIME?
Technically yea, but each input is stereo so each mic won't be centered.
Hey! Is this mixer mountable in any way?
It doesn't come with any mounting tools. But I'm using velcro to hold it to my studio desk, its pretty light weight so there are a few options

i have a microphone if i get this will it work?
If it's phantom powered; no.
If its dynamic; yes.
But this is a stereo mixer so if you plug a mic directly into it it will be hard panned left
Would this work if I plug an sm58 into one of the channels?
Could you use this with a powered pa speaker?
